Efia Odo, the popular Ghanaian actress and OAP who was suicidal months ago after it was reported that she had party sex with Shatta Wale and his late friend Junior, has stated that Ghanaian movie directors don't know how to shoot sex scenes.

Efia Odo who passed off her claim via Twitter, wondered why most sex scenes in Ghanaian movies are too raw with no embellishment to really portray that it’s a real sex scene. She concluded by advising that sex scenes should be made sensual and sultry to tell the story very well. She tweeted;

Pastor Funke Adejumo has reacted to the rape allegation against Pastor Fatoyinbo by Busola Dakolo, which led to protests and his stepping down as the Senior Pastor of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly.

Pastor Funke Adejumo who alongside her husband, Pastor Felix Adejumo was accused of allegedly restraining Pastor Fatoyinbo from reacting when Ese Walters first accused him of having a sexual relationship with her in 2013, disclosed that it took her time to publicly react to the recent rape allegation because "work has to be done to enable the process of resolution."

The Agape Christian Ministries Pastor noted that the COZA founder sees her and her husband as mentors She expressed sympathy to everyone who has experienced broken trust from the church including Busola Dakolo.

She wrote;

Actress, Mercy Macjoe, has said to live a comfortable life, an actor cannot depend on money made from the movie industry alone. In a chat with Sunday Scoop, she said, “If you want to live an ‘average high-class’ life, I don’t think the pay you get from acting would be enough for you, except you’ve got to a particular stage in your career where you are well paid. And that is why some of us go into production and do other businesses. As for me, I have a make-up and beauty line.”

On why actresses rarely seemed to get along, Macjoe said, “The truth is that women, generally, have issues. Men don’t really envy and beef themselves. It is only women that can have automatic hatred for themselves; it’s not just about actresses. But it’s not necessary because the sky is big enough for everybody to fly. If you are destined to be a star, you would be one.”

The actress also stated that though she was doing well in her career, she is still nowhere near where she wants to be. She added, “I believe that there are always lots of challenges when one wants to do anything good, not just in the movie industry. However, the good thing is that I’m climbing and doing well for myself. But I still want to push because I’ve not got to the level I want to be. Basically, the challenge is just about the process such as getting diverse roles, and proving that I am where I am today by virtue of my talent and hard work.

“I just finished shooting my third movie titled, Passion’s Promise. I did one last year titled, Red. And I shot one in London last month titled, 30 and Single.”

According to Macjoe, she is close to some actors in the industry but she has never had a crush on any of them. “I really don’t have a crush on anyone, and I’ve worked with about 80 per cent of the new actors in the industry. I am quite close to some of them and we get along well,” she said.

Revealing the toughest role she had played, the actress said, “I once played the role of a psycho who was in love with a guy who didn’t even know she existed. The character really drained me because it required a lot of energy and emotions. Conversely, I would love to play the role of a tomboy lover girl, or a mad woman.”

No fewer than 484 suspected drug traffickers in Bauchi State have been arrested for various drug related offences, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has disclosed.

Also seized are a total of 4, 465kg of different kinds of illicit drugs.

Commander of the NDLEA in the state, Segun Oke, disclosed this at a briefing at the agency’s headquarters in Bauchi, the capital, adding that the seizures were made between June, 2018 and June, 2019.

He said that the success recorded by the NDLEA within the last one year was as a result of the synergy between the agency and other sister security agencies in the state.

He said, “As a Command, we reached out to people in terms of public awareness. We also go about searching to see the level of response.

“We regularly go to places of gathering where you can find people, churches, mosques, motorparks, schools, to synergise and create awareness.”

“During the year under review, we undertook activities mostly preventive through awareness creation, and corrective measures such as search, arrest, seizure, and in some cases, prosecution to curb drug menace in the society.”

Kiki Osinbajo is an entrepreneur and the daughter of the Vice President of Nigeria, Prof Yemi Osinbajo. In this interview, she tells TIMILEYIN AKINKAHUNSI about her life, motivation and what she thinks about the criticisms against the government

For a young woman under 30 years old, you seem to be quite industrious; what motivates you?

My mother and my sister; I have two beautiful, hard-working and strong women in my corner that keep me going. They are my biggest cheerleaders and sometimes when I feel like I’m getting overwhelmed by work and need a break, I look at how hard they work and I know I have to do the same.

You manage about three beauty brands, what is your weekly schedule like?

One word, tough! Managing three different companies isn’t easy but I love what I do and I know this is just the beginning so I have to keep working.

Do you have plans to venture into another line of business soon?

Yes definitely! I’m currently in the retail line of business but I’m working on going into the farming aspect of beauty. Yes, farming, I know that might sound strange but all my products are actually plant based, so sourcing raw materials sometimes can be quite tedious. I’m looking into the agricultural market, which is out of my comfort zone, but I’m ready for the challenge!

What motivated you to become very industrious?

I think my background played that role! I was always taught that if you want something, you have to work hard to get it. I definitely want our country to be put on the map in the beauty industry and what better way to do that than working on it for myself?

You are very particular about beautifying women, what is your beauty secret?

I wouldn’t say I am particular at beautifying women; I am particular about making women feel comfortable in their skin. I believe all women are naturally beautiful and I have products, which don’t alter their beautiful tones but make their skin glow and give women the confidence they desire. My beauty secret is helping people glow the natural way using natural products.

You seem to be inspired by your mother’s love for gardens, is there a possibility that you’ll own a garden one day or invest in flowery business?

Well, I definitely love her passion for nature and I love how happy she is when she is in her garden or when she talks about plants. Maybe one day, I’d have a garden of my own but I would definitely need her help with it because I don’t know the basic things about plants.

It is evident that you have a very cordial relationship with your dad, what are some of the fun memories you had with him as a child?

My dad is the best! I mean I got his middle name ‘Oluleke’. I think the best memory was when I was about 18; we went to Abu Dhabi, UAE on holiday, I had a minor accident and was hospitalised for a couple of days. When I got back home, I was in pain and was crying. Everyone tried everything they could, but nothing worked.

My dad came in, stood by the side of my bed, singing worship songs. He sang for about an hour and a half till I fell asleep. When I woke up, he was right there beside me even then I was in pain, but I didn’t want to wake him up because I knew if I moved too much, he would’ve woken up. I always knew he loved me but this made me realise how much.

Actress and dancer, Cherry Ozoalor, popularly called Cherry Entafield, has been a victim of public backlash because of her style of dance. In an interview with Saturday Beats, she opened up on the major reason why she decided to start dancing with her underwear. According to the dentist, she had tried to draw attention to her talents but all her efforts failed until she started dancing in her underwear.

“I am made of steel, I believe in my art and what I have to offer to the world. This is the means I have to express myself. I receive a lot of backlash all the time; I understand that some people don’t understand but it doesn’t bother me.

“My selling point is my bust; I’ve tried other ‘selling points’ but they did not work. I tried to be funny at some point, but I only got a few number of views. I tried poetry for over a year and still had few followers. Now, when I post some of my old poems, people are always amazed at them. When I was posting them back then, nobody gave a damn about them. My poetry and raps are gaining more traction.

“I thought deeply about how to engage my audience and I thought to myself that people who shake their bum (twerk) get a lot of views and that was why I decided to use my boobs to dance and I called it ‘bresking’. The first video I uploaded went viral and that was how I gained a lot of audience and they started noticing my poetry. I realised it worked. I didn’t do it against my will; I just discovered what works for me. This is me, and I am okay.

“I have always been creative. As a secondary student, I was the leader of a dance group. I used to compose poems just like my father. I have an alter ego, I am shy in reality but when I am in front of the camera, my other personality performs. I am doing entertainment for now but I won’t throw away my knowledge of dentistry. My siblings are aware of what I do and they know it is a form of publicity for my art. They understand me,” she told Saturday Beats.

When asked if she would be able to have a healthy romantic relationship with her lifestyle, she noted that she always knew where to draw the line.

“People who eventually get close to me understand me at a glance after I have a conversation with them in real life. When it gets to a point where I have to start explaining my lifestyle, I probably would not. I usually don’t explain to them because I don’t want to bother anyone with my lifestyle, I just let them go when I notice they can’t withstand me.

“I have been in a serious relationship before and he was very supportive; he even used to criticise my videos constructively. I get funny requests from my fans daily. People have tried to discourage my parents from allowing me become an entertainer but there is a trend of entertainment in my family; my grand mum was a public dancer, four of my cousins are rappers and my father is a poet. They have seen a couple of my videos but they understand.

“If a man comes to me today and tells me to stop what I do, I’d ask him if he wants to marry me or an idea of me. Creativity is dynamic; if I discover something more interesting tomorrow, I would do it. It is all about creativity,” she said.

Media personality, Shade Ladipo has released a video blasting Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of COZA church.

She revealed she has been trolling the flamboyant pastor "for the past 3 years mainly because I knew within me that he is the devil incarnate." She said this led to him blocking her on Instagram.

Speaking in the video, Shade referred to Pastor Biodun as an "animal" who "needs to be deleted from the world.

She went on to call on Pastors Sam Adeyemi, Ituah, Tony Rapu and other well respected pastors to speak up and condemn pastor Fatoyinbo for raping Busola Dakolo twice when she was a minor.
