HealthRe: Pregnancy Are You Pregnant Or Going Through A High Risk Pregnancy,,lets Talk by gabbynak(m): 1:09pm On Jun 20, 2018
Wow what a thread! Couldn't go through much of the comments here, but will give my own two kobo of advice. I trust it might be useful for someone as information they say is key. Pregnancy period is a time when a whole lot's of physiological changes occur in the female body. To those who are just experiencing at the initial stage, the whole changes seems unusual, this is also a time to be very sensitive to every form of bodily changes, as some changes could mean some conditions Medically. Some of these changes that occur ranges from Physical, metabolic, hormonal, respiratory changes. An anticipating Mothers should also understand some common diseases that could be passed from mother to child, as well as trying as much as possible to avoid some drugs, because not all drugs could be consumed by a pregnant woman. Also try to understand your own body physiology and create time to study.
I find this link Insightful http://www.truhealthonline.com/?s=Pregnancy It contains some basic things a Pregnant woman should know and issues as it relates to Pregnancy.
HealthRe: World Sickle Cell Day 2018: Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu Leads From The Front by gabbynak(m): 12:37pm On Jun 20, 2018
It is quite pathetic that despite all of these campaigns, the impact of the Nigerian government is not really felt, looking at Lagos State for example, we only have one Ultra Modern Center where Sickle Cell patient are managed/treated (NATIONAL SICKLE CELL FOUNDATION NIGERIA) located opposite LUTH, managed by an individual, with little or no contribution from the government. This is not good enough. I think it should rather be a collective effort from both the government and well meaning Nigerians who can supports some of these foundation. But so far, I see more of individualistic effort rather the a collective effort. I find this link insightful for some recent updates on Sickle Cell

World sickle cell Day 2018: Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu leads from the front

Since 2008 when United Nations established that every June 19 should be celebrated as World Sickle Cell Day, individuals, groups and organizations in a bid to increase awareness about sickle cell disease and its cure, organized seminars, conferences and health talks to mark celebration.

In Abia state, such events were not pronounced until the wife of Abia state Governor, Deaconess Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu, through her Not-for -profit organization, Vicar Hope Foundation(VHF), launched a statewide campaign in 2016 to popularize proper genotype testing and further raise the level of awareness in Abia.

Her commitment towards the project resulted to speedy passage of the genotype testing law last week - a bill which remained stagnated for several years without legislative action.

Earlier today, the streets of Aba was all agog as the wife of Governor led other women including the Wife of the Deputy Governor, wife of the Speaker, wife of the Deputy speaker, The only female lawmaker in Abia Assembly, Hon. Blessing Nwagba, Commissioner for women affairs, Advocates and volunteers, on a walk to mark the day's celebration.

The walk which started from the Aba Townhall, terminated at the Aba General Hospital to usher in the second phase of the event - a seminar.
The seminar was chaired by the chief medical director of ABSUTH, Professor Chucks Kamalu and featured a lecture on "managing sickle cell disease" delivered by Dr. Chika Uche, the chairman, Medical Women Association.

For persons with sickle cell disease, it is advised that you visit the VHF Sickle Cell Care and Diagnostics Centre in umuahia for counselling and medical care. The Centre offers subsidized treatment to patients with sickle cell disorders.

HealthRe: Meet 94 Year Old Nigerian Woman Who Has Lived All Her Life A Sickle Cell Patient by gabbynak(m): 11:20am On Jun 20, 2018
Apparently she has surpass the average life expectancy of sickle cell anaemic patient. It is paramount to state here that, when they say sickle cell anaemic patient do not live long they refer to the average life expectancy for sickle cell patients in this region of Africa where the disease is not properly manag, but so far Nigerian Doctors and health practitioners, are doing their best in the management of the disease.
I find this link insightful http://www.truhealthonline.com/?s=sickle+cell You can go through to see some latest development in Sickle Cell

Nigerian doctor, Chioma @Deekachy_md, shared the photos of the elderly woman, Alhaja Alakija, who according to her has lived with sickle cell anemia for 94 years. She shared the photos to disabuse the minds of Nigerians who believe that Sickle cell patients can't live longer than 22.

you're absolutely right about him, he once taught us biology(late 90s) in mr Felix's tutorial centre along akoka rd,his class was always lively and interesting because he calls it the way it's .He is one the religious ones will refer to having dirty mouth/mind, but he's very good in his line.
Till now I can't forget what he taught me in reproduction and how the heart functions and many other things about human body. He might have been wrongly accused though maybe because of his practical demonstrations in class,he's just been real
Seni oko asewo
Yeah you've confirmed my doubts, he teaches in Mr.Felix tutorial center in Akoko and Ijesha at the University De Classical tutors. Oh! He is the best I've met so far, he doesn't just teach, but inspires. His style of teaching have landed him into big trouble.

But theres a history!

However, it's only fair to hear both sides of a story before you judge.
It's a delicate thing finding yourself in these shoes, just like the lady who accused a doctor of molesting him during a breast examination. It's his word against hers.

A search of his name on Twitter gave divergent results.

Some say he's the best biology teacher ever and these reports were as far back as 2011.some say he likes girls.

Let them do a thorough investigation and he should be prosecuted if found culpable
I need to confirm his Identity if he is the same teacher who taught me Biology and Chemistry at the University De Classical tutors Ijesha in 2001. Extremely good, simply the best. I understand then he was a student of Biochem in Unilag. It's 15yrs now, though pictures bear resemblance but can't still ascertain.

Hi guys, I represent Obafemi/Owode local govt in Ogun State. An ex-corper. I got an info yesterday that corpers got an alert of 13k n for others by hand. I went there in d morning with a friend who got hers in my presence because she worked in d main PU. I asked 4 mine n I was told my money is nt ready because I worked in a voting point. They told my friend not to come tomorrow for the gubernatorial election n asked me 2 come. The point now is that I think they want 2 use us(those that worked in Voting point) twice n pay 4 one. Change can't happen in Nigeria if some people are eating our money n lying to us. Corruption is in every system of goverment.
Every system my brother and INEC in itself is not exempted.

Why is everybody silient on this issue? Is it that everyone or most persons has been paid? This was an exercise which involved strength, stress and to cap it all risk of ones life. As a matter of fact, we were almost beaten at my PU during the exercise, sme unfortunate ones even lost their lives. I smell something fishy is wrong cuz I see no reason why we've nt been paid by now for an electn dts has been conducted for over a week. We were not even given details of payment at our various LGA. Not even a dime as honourarium for any of the election except for allowance. I think we need to cme out as a voice at our various LGA to tender our plight. This is not right!!!
