Kashamu rejoices with Muslims over Ramadan

The lawmaker representing Ogun East Senatorial District at the National Assembly and the Founder of Omoilu Foundation, Senator Buruji Kashamu has rejoiced with the Muslim faithful for witnessing another Ramadan season.

In a statement he posted on his verified Twitter handle @Sen_Kashamu, the Senator said, "As today marks the start of the holy month of Ramadan, I wish to extend felicitations to all Muslim faithful as we all embark on the 30 days fast. Ramadan Mubarak!"

He wished the Muslim umma an eventful fasting period and expressed the hope that the Almighty Allah will hear their prayers and grant them all their heart desires.

OGUN 2019: Kashamu meets CDCs in Obafemi Owode

Ahead of the March 9 Governorship and House of Assembly elections, the Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State, Senator Buruji Kashamu on Sunday held a Town Hall meeting with the Community Development Councils (CDCs) in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area.

At the meeting, Senator Kashamu promised to fix the bad roads in the communities and provide other basic infrastructure based on their advice and preference.

The campaign team, which was led by Senator Kashamu, comprised of the Deputy Governorship Candidate, Dr. Reuben Abati; the Director-General of the Kashamu-Abati Campaign Organisation, Dr. Remilekun Bakare; the State Party Chairman, Engr. Adebayo Dayo and the PDP House of Assembly candidate for Obafemi/Owode State Constituency, Engr. John Tosin Oludoyi, among others.

Monarchs in Remoland have described the Governorship Candidate of the PDP in Ogun State, Senator Buruji Kashamu as "a son of the soil".

Speaking in Sagamu on Wesdnesday when Kashamu visited the Remo Traditional Rulers-in-Council, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Babatunde Ajayi expressed gratitude to the monarchs in Remoland for joining him to receive "our son".

He expressed the hope that when Kashamu gets to office, he will not forget the traditional institution as promised.

Oba Ajayi also commended the Governorship Candidate for giving priority to the issue of local government autonomy, adding that it was one issue dear to his heart.

He added that they had been receiving other governorship candidates but this was an exception.

"He is the only who has come with a policy document and a letter of undertaking so that we can hold him accountable should he depart from his promises. I would like to appeal to all the Kabiyesi to please read the policy document, " Oba Ajayi said

In his remarks, Ewusi of Makun-Sagamu, Oba Timothy Akinsanya, commended Kashamu for the leadership traits and political maturity that he displayed on the 13th of January, 2019 when some hoodlums acting on the instructions of a member of the House of Representatives attacked his supporters and destroyed his campaign vehicles in Sagamu at the New Year/Thanksgiving Service of former Ogun State Governor, His Excellency, Otunba Gbenga Daniel.

Oba Akinsanya prayed for Kashamu and asked God to make his aspiration a reality.

The Onirolu of Irolu, His Royal Highness, Oba Sikiru Adeyiga and the Oludotun of Idotun-Ikene, His Royal Highness, Oba Odunayo Solarin, also took turns to pray for Kashamu's success at the polls.

Oba Ajayi presented to Kashamu the Remo Growth and Development Plan, which he said, is usually presented to "special people who stand a good chance of assuming leadership".

The plan, he added, was put together by the Remo Foundation.

This is nothing but a paid job. I don't know Senator Kashamu but an intelligent person needs not be told that his adversaries are behind this hate speech. I think his political opponents are not comfortable with his popularity among the masses hence all these attacks in the media.

Up till this moment, America is yet publicly declare him wanted. The question is why are some Nigerians hate this man so much that they seem not to be comfortable with his popularity. Perhaps because he just emerged Ogun PDP guber candidate? Who knows?.

The truth of the matter is that the electorate are no longer gullible. They know that Kashamu is one of the few politicians with the interest of the masses at heart.

Congratulations to all of us in Lado group. The feats we have recorded courtesy of our team of lawyers represented by Mr. Etiaba SAN are highly commendable. He has shown that truly political cases are not necessarily about the law. He has shown that he is a member of the inner chamber. We expect that he will deploy the same dexterity and tactics that he used to get results at the Federal High Court  in Lagos and Abeokuta at the Court of Appeal, Ibadan. "Owo Baba Ijebu lo n soro".
