EducationRe: UAM Student Expresses His Bitterness by Gabrose(op): 2:53pm On May 22, 2017
ELECTCHIBU:
Say no to corruption in Nigerian universities. Honestly uniagric students suffer. The land is too big and the transport system is bad
The worst part of it is that the authorities take it as a normal thing.
EducationUAM Student Expresses His Bitterness by Gabrose(op): 2:25pm On May 22, 2017
COPIED.

Some years ago, a great Nigeria university societiy/ASUU/NUC , in whose symbolic we re schooling today, signed the studentsEmancipation Proclamation. This momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of nigeria students who had been seared in the flames of recivening poor education system. It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of students captivity.
A year later, the education system of UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE MAKURDI still is not free. the life of the UAM STUDENTS is still sadly crippled by the manacles of corruption and the chains of poor management system. the uam lives on a lonely poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. The students of uam is still languished in the corners of nigeria /benue state the location of university society and finds themself doing nothing in their land. So if end of this month nothing is don we will come out an dramatize a shameful condition.
In a sense we emback on six month to cash a check. When the architects of ASUU wrote the magnificent words of the quality education and the standard education system, they were signing a promissory note to which every university was to fall heir.
This note was a promise that all nigeria university students, would be guaranteed the unalienable rights of good education, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
It is obvious today that uam VC/
management of the university has defaulted on this promissory . Instead of honoring this sacred obligation,VC and his manage has given the students bad check; a check which has come back marked "insufficient funds."a check of stay home. We refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this university(UAM). So @ the end of this month we will come out all to cash this check- a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and the security of good education system.
We will come to this hallowed spot to remind UAM of the fierce urgency of now. This is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism.
Now is the time to make real the promises of long strick we emback. Now is the time to rise from our fathes homes to sunlit path of racial education. Now is the time to lift our university management from the quicksands of racial poor education to the solid rock of quality education. Now is the time to make eduction a reality for all UAM students.
It would be fatal for the UAM/MANAGEMENT to overlook the urgency of the moment. This sweltering summer of the uam students legitimate discontent will not pass until there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality education. And is not an end, but a beginning. Those who hope that the UAM needed to blow off steam and will now be content will have a rude awakening if the VC returns to business as usual. There will be neither rest nor tranquility in the university until the students re granted his education rights. The whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our university until the bright day of education emerges.
there is something that I must say to my people who WIL stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice. In the process of gaining our rightful education we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of wickness. We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. Again and again we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force.
The marvelous new militancy which has engulfed the university community must not lead us to a distrust of all corrupted people, for many of our leaders, as evidenced by their presence with us on dat thy, we come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny. And they will come to realize that their lecturing jobs are inextricably bound to our edcation right.
And as we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall march ahead. We cannot turn back. There are those who are asking the devotees of civil rights, "When will you be satisfied?"
We can never be satisfied as long as students are victim of the unschool horrors of police brutality.
We can never be satisfied as long as our bodies, heavy with the fatigue of travel, cannot gain lodging in the motels of the highways.
We can never be satisfied as long as our students are dieing in their fathers houses.
We cannot be satisfied as long as a students in UAM cannot express their SUG right believes they has nothing for which to speak.
No, no, we are not satisfied, and we will not be satisfied until education is beat down for both the poor and the riches and joyful like a mighty stream.i NAMKOR ISAIAH NAMKOR OF ELECTRICAL ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING WILL LEAD DE PROTEST.i will make sure education in uam returnes to it root.we will join hands and sing sons of our long break.

Suswam: Osinbajo shuns Ortom, warns him against misleading DSSNigerian Concord OnlineIt was a big show of Shame for the governor of Benuestate, Mr. Samuel Ortom, as the Vice President Of the country, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, openly disgraced him at the Aso Villa over his role in the incarceration of former governor Gabriel Suswam.A confirmed security source told Nigerian Concord that the vice president disgraced Ortom in the presence of everyone in his office, warning him to stop misleading both the Presidency and the DSS with idle talks in his quest to maliciously run down his predecessor, Dr.. Gabriel Suswam. It would be recalled that it was this same Osinbajo who agreed with Tinubu and Senator Akume to help Ortom approve Suswam’s invitation and detention bythe DSS in February.Ortom had in January approached President Buhari before he went to London then for his medical that, heshould allow the DSS to cage Suswam on an accountthat he possessed illegal arms so as not to disturb the president’s chances of winning the North Central Zone in 2019.According to our confirmed presidency sources, Ortom based his briefing on the fact that Suswam is a very powerful and influential politician in the entire North Central Zone. Our sources also added that the governor clearly told the president that Suswam had finished the popularity of the APC in Benue state and the entire North Central zone as a result of his goodwill and unending influence, stressing that there was an urgent need to clip his wings. The president, according to eye witness account, immediately rebuked Governor Ortom, saying that never would he be part to any illegality.Buhari was said to have advised Ortom to shun the idea of implicating his predecessor. He also agreed that Suswam should be prosecuted if the governor had a genuine reason for it.Nigerian Concord had reported that immediately Buhari left for his previous UK trip, Ortom and his estranged god father, Senator Akume, were taken to VP Osinbajo by an APC national chieftain, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, who explained the reasons Suswam should be incarcerated at all cost.On hearing Tinubu’s account, the vice president was said to have approved that the DSS should move on Gabriel Suswam who was later detained from February 25 till early this month that he was released unconditionally. While Suswam was in detention, confirmed security sources within the Benue government house in Makurdi informed Nigerian Concord on how Governor Ortom purchased about fourteen cars in thenames of some PDP leaders who are loyal to his predecessor. The cars which were parked in some areas in Makurdi, Abuja and Lagos were loaded with different guns.According to sources, Ortom immediately after parking the cars in different locations submitted a fresh petition to the DSS through his attorney general to report those PDP Chieftains as possessing cars that had illegal guns inside of them in different parts of the country. The plan was however aborted by the governor when this newspaper made an exclusive report out of it.It was confirmed that the cars were immediately removed from the locations and taken to unknown destinations on the order of the governor who was unable to give any explanation to the Vice president when he was briefed by the DSS about the absence ofthose cars at the reported locations.Immediately that plan failed, the governor again directed his Attorney General to send a security report to the DSS to explain that the security agency should beg Justice Kolawole to deny the bail application of his predecessor on the account that Benue state would be made ungovernable if he was released.Following up the security report, the DSS sent its agent, Mr.. Abdulahi, to tell Justice Kolawole to deny any bail move owing to the fact that there was a petition from Ortom that Suswam would make Benue ungovernable to him if he was released by the judge. However, immediately Suswam was released, Governor Ortom ,who couldn’t confront President Buhari who just returned from London then, rushed tothe vice president to explain that the DSS did a wrongfor releasing their ‘enemy’The vice president was said to have told Ortom to let him conduct an independent investigation into his fresh claim that Suswam poses threats to the government of Benue state and the APC-led Federal government as well. After his one week investigation, Ortom was invited toAbuja by VP Osinbajo who expressed his open anger towards the frivolous complaints from the governor about Dr. Suswam. The vice president openly disgraced his guest (Ortom) and warned him to stop misleading him, the presidency and Nigerian security agencies in his quest to fight his predecessor.Nigerian Concord learnt that Prof. Osinbajo expressed his displeasure over how the governor hasbrought the presidency and the DSS to ridicule with his fake allegations which led to Suswam’s incarceration.Osinbajo who reportedly regretted how he was deceived by Ortom to believe that Suswam was having illegal firearms was said to have also warned Ortom never to use the DSS and other security agencies for his political fight again. All efforts made by Ortom that evening to make Osinbajo listen to his own explanation proved abortive as the vice president angrily left the meeting venue with his other guests.
