lekjons:Very valid point. I think I should update my article |
[img][/img] Below are reasons why you should not use your phone to text or play while walking. 1. You might get hit by a car Pressing your phone while walking is a bad etiquette, and one you must stop not because you will be die as result of been hit by a car but because it doesn’t speak well about your personality. It doesn’t give you that sense of confidence. It makes you look like someone who just bought a new phone and is flaunting it. When you do this, you are vulnerable to accident. The most important sense organ for sight is being used to focus solely on a gadget other than to concentrate on things ahead. This will lead to my next point. 2. You are somehow unconscious about your environment The above point is similar to this but I will give an example of what happened to my friend in the next point. I know most people are guilty of this, even the reader of this article is guilty as well. I know how it feels like chatting with a close friend or with that special person of ours. I know the feeling when you can’t but reply to that message, not because there won’t be time but because you feel you are keeping the other person waiting. No matter the reason, it is unethical and you will be unaware of the things around you. 3. Your mobile phone might be illegally taken from you A friend told me how his phone was taken illegally from him. This happened when he was engrossed with his phone and forgot that he was sitting close to the conductor’s seat in a public bus. The thief like they oft do had studied him and since he (the thief) was aware that 70% of our nerves are always directed towards our phone when we are chatting or watching a comic video, he took advantage of the moment and disappeared in a flash. My friend said he didn’t even come down, he just smiled in disbelief. 4. People will think you are senseless I often look at people doing this and I call them senseless. Is the message so important? Or is the picture so beautiful that you can’t view it later? Or is that Display Picture so catchy that you can’t have a glimpse of it later? No matter the type of message I advice you don’t do this unless it’s a matter of emergency, stop and leave the road to reply. 5. You might hit your leg on a stone This is so true. I have seen countless of people hit their legs on a stone s or even fall in a ditch along the road just because of pressing their phone while walking. I know Gadgets have been of enormous benefits to us, however we cannot deny that its negative effect is hitting our personal life.I people should pocket their phones and just enjoy the walk at hand. What do you think? |
Hello there! I am always excited to give you tips and tricks for free that I think will benefit you and will make gadgets easy for you to use. I am going to show you how to share your phone’s internet connection without password using Bluetooth tethering. I will put the link to view the images that will make this tutorial easier for you to understand at the end of this post. This article will enlighten you to be careful of who you give your wireless password especially if you are subscribed to a data cap and not unlimited bandwidth. What I have for you today is a feature I know most people don’t have an idea of. It’s called Bluetooth Tethering. This feature is excellent in the sense that you don’t need a password like the traditional Hotspot tethering before you can connect other devices once you set it up. You can connect network devices like your smartphone, laptops, TVs without using password even if there is a password on the router. Don’t get confused, I will show you how. Of course we all know about using Wi-Fi hotspot to connect up to ten network devices at a time. When you use Wi-Fi hotspot don’t forget that you have to input the password for authentication for every device that wishes to join the network, which can be stressful. Although this is secure in the sense that before anyone connects to your Hotspot network, s/he will be required to query for the password from you which makes it a great feature to use. Have you ever thought of how you can connect other devices to share your device’s internet connection using Bluetooth? Well, I guess you are thinking about it now. Bluetooth tethering doesn’t request for passwords, all you have to do is to check the box that says enable this device internet connection in the Bluetooth tethering option, scan, connect and you are in. So how do you connect your smartphone? One you have checked the box to enable this device internet connection in the Bluetooth tethering and you are browsing already, just put on the other device’s Bluetooth and scan. Ensure your device is in discovery mode which means it is set to be visible to all nearby devices Once it can detect your Bluetooth name, pair the devices together and connect. That’s all. You can achieve this by going to Settings, connections, then Tethering and portable hotspot, and finally Check the Bluetooth tethering (Sharing this device’s internet connection) box. How do you connect your laptop? Locate your Bluetooth Icon, Click on it and then Click on Join a Personal Area Network, if you have not used your phone to send any files to your laptop before, you will see a blank page, don’t worry, just click on Add a device, ensure your device is in discovery mode which means it is set to be visible to all nearby devices and allow it to scan. After you have selected the device, click next to undergo verification, when asked for confirmation, just click on Yes to confirm verification from your phone and laptop. Once it is done… Go to drop down icon and select connect using Access Point as seen in the image below You should see connection successful and that’s all. Enjoy! This shouldn’t take you 20 secs to set up. Its very simple. Now that you have learnt how to share your phone’s internet connection without password using Bluetooth tethering. Kindly share if you find this informative. Leave a comment if you have any questions. Gracias! Ensuring your device gives you an optimum battery performance should be your first goal when using an Android. Your ability to know which features to turn on and off will assist you in achieving this goal. Ensure you read it to the end. Hence we present 5 ways to extend your smartphone battery life. 1. Do an update to the latest OS Each time there is an update in Android OS, you are bound to get an extended battery life. No wonder smartphones like Gionee Marathon M5 Tecno Camon C8, Infinix Note 2 (that runs on Android OS 5. 1) and the latest Infinix Note 3 which runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow are designed to provide you with an extended battery life that you can use up to 2 days which involves non-stop web browsing and music playing in the background. The latest Android OS is Android Marshmallow 6.0. This OS is built on customized XOR user interface. This OS comes with a utility support to ensure your battery consumption is saved up to 30%. If your smartphone isn’t running on this latest OS, I suggest you do an upgrade by checking for updates. You ought to have received the notification for the update and if you haven’t, just go to settings, locate About device, then tap updates and finally tap check for updates now. 2. Uninstall Unused Apps Using an Android OS based smartphone has been terrific and invaluable. As far you use an Android smartphone, you have unlimited Apps ready to serve you. These applications provides enormous and considerate options for you to choose from. These applications are there to meet your needs and wants. In fact, just think of what you want to do, search on Google Play and it’s done. Don’t try to look for an App that will print money for you please because you won’t find it. However, it’s been said that too much of everything is bad. Of course! You know that right? I am very sure that you have some Apps you have not opened in the last 3 months. If you are reading this now, check your smartphone for any unused Apps and delete. The reason is because most of these Apps runs even without you starting them. They notify you of updates and these updates require internet connection to download and by downloading these updates, you are using times two of the normal battery consumption you ought to consume when you only browse on the internet. 3. Close open Applications Your battery drains faster when you multitask with your smartphone. The beauty of a smartphone is the ability to open multiple Applications concurrently. However, with this capability, the rate at which your battery discharges is faster when you open multiple Apps compare to when you are using a single App. The best and only way is to close Apps running in the background. Ensure you always close a session after you are done using the App to extend your smartphone battery life. 4. Set your screen brightness to Auto Brightness If you are looking for any feature in a smartphone that drains battery faster, It is the screen brightness. This feature uses as least 70 percent of the total battery capacity when set to a screen brightness of above eighty percent. Aside from draining your battery, this feature also has a negative effect on the eyes. To achieve optimum battery performance, we suggest you set your screen brightness to auto. This will adjust the screen brightness based on the atmosphere 5. Set your preferred network type to Auto select Between 2G and 3G Setting your network connection to auto select between second Generation (2G) and Third Generation (3G) networks reduces your smartphone battery consumption. This is because 2G transmit at a speed relatively lower than 3G. When you set your preferred network connection to be on Wide Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) also known as 3G, it transmit and receive at a very high rate and of course faster than 2G, thus, sending a message to the battery that it needs power to boost its signal which is another reason while your battery drains fast. Others are turning off your Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth among others. Quick recap on ways you can extend your battery life Do an upgrade to the latest OS. Uninstall unused applications Close opened applications Set your screen brightness to Auto brightness Set your preferred network type to Auto select 2G and 3G[ hr] Kindly share if you find this informative so your friends can benefit as well. |
