Google on Tuesday announced a new feature on their Android version of the Gmail app. In the feature users now have the ability to request and send money via Gmail. Although this feature has been available on the web version of Gmail for a while, it has only just come to the android app. Sending money with this feature is quite very easy to do. All you have to do is tap on the normal attachment button and an option would pop up from where you can select the Gmail send money option. The money would be sent to the recipient from your Google wallet. How To Acess the Gmail Send Money Feature. You can access the Gmail send money function in two ways depending on if you are using the web version or mobile version. On the wb version there is a dollar sign icon close to the "compose" button and when you click on the dollar sign, you can access the Gmail send money feature. On the Android app, you can access the Gmail send money feature by clicking the attachment button which hitherto only allows you attach files to your messages. There was a time when mobile phones were simply mobile phones; devices that you could carry along with you anywhere to receive and make calls or send text messages. However, our present realities are a far cry from that. We now have smart phones that can do almost anything that a full-fledged computer can do and in some cases, even more. And with this developments and strides come the negative aspects one of which is phone bugging or phone tapping depending on which term you are more acquainted with. What is Phone Bugging/Tapping? Phone tapping is a practice whereby a third party employs covert means to monitor your phone and internet connections. Science/Technology / Hold Your Horses; Whatsapp Won't Stop Support For Blackberry This Year by GadgetsReview: 4:11am On Nov 17, 2016 |
We told you some time ago that Whatsapp announced that it will end support for Blackberry devices and lower Android OS by the end of this year. As a matter of fact, a lot of Blackberry users are already looking at options to upgrade to as the year is drawing to a close. Well, WhatsApp has now tampered “justice” with mercy as they have now extended that date to the 30th of June next year. Good news eh? The information that was posted in WhatsApp’s Frequently asked questions segment of their blog reads thus: “As announced in our blog, we will soon be ending support for certain devices. On June 30, 2017, we will no longer support the following platforms: BlackBerry OS and BlackBerry 10 Nokia S40 Nokia Symbian S60″ Other devices that operate on the lower Android platforms will still see their support ended in early 2017 as planned though. These devices(OS) include the following: Android 2.1 and Android 2.2 Windows Phone 7 iPhone 3GS/iOS 6 So if you have that small money that you have grudgingly budgeted for an Android phone upgrade from your Blackberry, you can relax now. Merry Christmas in advance guys!! SOURCE: http://www.gadgetsreview.com.ng/does-blackberry-support-whatsapp/ 1 Like |
