You can easily mount a first line of defence without risking the lives of people in the neighbourhood.

Trust me, I know all about it. Did due research before doing my regular razor wires.

It's still an irresponsible way to do a first line of defense in a crowded neighborhood, strictly from a safety point of view as I'm sure some might be bothered by my razor wires. You'll never get a homeowner insurance in regular parts of the world with that. Yes, I know different countries with different challenges and accompanying laws but we should emulate good principles.

It ought to be outrightly banned in residential areas. No sane human being should take that risk. But like I always try to preach, anyone is free to do what they want on their site.

Personally I think it’s criminal to erect this within 25 to 50 feet of a setback and especially as a first line of defense.

security fence was merely a passive physical barrier, the reality of today's world prescribes the use of
an active intrusion detection system that reacts to any intrusion attempts, preventing or delaying
