The government have published a 50-page document for lifting the coronavirus-enforced lockdown in England which could see the Premier League restart on June 1.

A guide for exiting the lockdown was released on Monday afternoon, with social distancing measures to remain in place as various activities are resumed across the country.

Step two of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson's "roadmap" clears the way for the current football season get back underway next month, with all remaining fixtures set to be played behind closed doors until public safety can be guaranteed.
The new document has been titled 'Our Plan to Rebuild: The UK Government's Covid-19 Recovery Strategy', and the lifting of restrictions is conditional upon the continued adherence to protocols which have been put in place to contain the spread of coronavirus.

Whether or not supporters will be able to attend matches before the end of the campaign remains unclear, as step three proposes a reopening of venues such as cinemas and hairdressers in July.

However it also includes the following warning: "Some venues which are, by design, crowded and where it may prove difficult to enact distancing may still not be able to reopen safely at this point, or may be able to open safely only in part.

"Nevertheless, the Government will wish to open as many businesses and public places as the data and information at the time allows.

"In order to facilitate the fastest possible reopening of these types of higher-risk businesses and public places, the Government will carefully phase and pilot reopenings to test their ability to adopt the new Covid-19 secure guidelines.

"The Government will also monitor carefully the effects of reopening other similar establishments elsewhere in the world, as this happens.

"The Government will establish a series of task forces to work closely with stakeholders in these sectors to develop ways in which they can make these businesses and public places Covid-19 secure."

The document continues by stating that fans being granted access to stadiums over the summer "may only be fully possible significantly later depending on the reduction in numbers of infections".

In a letter signed by the Executive Secretary of Kano State Censorship Board, Isma’ll Muhammad Na’Abba Afakallah, and written to the management of the TV station on April 7, the state government said such obscene film violated the norms, values, culture and religion of the people of Kano.

The Kano State Government has banned Arewa 24 Television from airing a series – Kwana Casa’In – showing a lady being held by men inside a tricycle.

The letter reads, “We are drawing your attention to a recent episode of Kwana Casa’In in a tricycle and store showing a lady being held by men which is against our norms, values, religion and culture.

“It is also in our record that another TV series being shown by your station called ‘Gidan Badamasi’, is an uncensored and unlicensed film which is an offence contrary to the Kano State Censorship Board Law (2001).

“It is against this background that we are giving your TV station 48 hours from the receipt of this letter to stop showing Kwana Casa’In and Gidan Badamasi for not complying with the laws mandating all films shown in Kano State to pass through censoring and licensing by the Kano State Censorship Board and failure to comply with the above notice will attract legal sanctions.”

The agency went on to say that it shall not approve a film or video work with indecent and obscene portions likely to be injurious to morality and against public interest.

Kano, like most states in Northern Nigeria, is an extremely conservative society where Islamic values including Sharia Law towers above everything else.

The state also has Hisbah Corps – a religious police responsible for enforcing Sharia in the city.

Kogi governor test negative to covid 19... updates coming up shortly

Mr Rufus Aplang, left guests and worshipers in shock when he walked out of church during his wedding and abandoned his supposed bride, Judith, in Jos, Plateau State.

Aplang fled the God’s Glory Ministry, Jos, venue of wedding when it was time to take the wedding vow on Saturday.

His action threw family members, friends, colleagues and associates into wild confusion.

Aplang, was quoted allegedly to have said before walking out of the Church that he had planned 10 years ago to disgrace his supposed bride on their wedding day.

An eye witness, Miss Julian Dogo, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Jos, that the fleeing groom gave shocking answers to the pastor while he was taking his marital vows.

“Aplang was asked on the altar by the pastor, do you take Judith as your wife for batter for worse? Then he replied with a No.

“The pastor put the same question to him, and he replied, ‘Pastor, I heard you clearly, and understand English very well and my answer is still No’

“Then the pastor said to him, but you are well dressed and came ready for this wedding, and he replied, ‘sorry, I made up my mind 10 years ago to disgrace her on our wedding day’

“As soon as he said that, he walked out of the church, and was followed by his best man and his friends who drove out of the church premises,”Dogo told NAN

NAN reports that Judith, the supposed bride, collapsed inside the church and was taken to an disclosed hospital around Plateau State Polytechnic in Jos

Mr. Peter Sani, best man to Aplang, who narrated the incident to NAN, described it as very “embarrassing”

“Aplang is my childhood friend, Judith has been a friend and sister too, and he dated her for over 12 years.

“I was in the church to serve as a best man, and also as a fulfilled man to witness their wedding, but I was shocked and highly disappointed with what happened in the church today,” he said.

Sani, who attributed his friend’s behaviour to some sort of diabolism, added that Aplang’s action was not ordinary.

“This is not ordinary; Aplang will always confide in me on any issue, if he had the plan to walk out on the altar he would have told me.

“What happened today is unimaginable, I came out of the church weeping profusely” he added. (NAN)

Due to the current happenings about people being electrocuted in their bathroom ,I deemed it fit to analyse the causes and probably how we can avoid future occurrences.
Electricity can only flow to the water tank in the water heater system if there is conductivity between the heating element and the tank,the water in the tank becomes a carrier of electricity.If there is such a fault and there is a proper equipment grounding (earthing),the equipment grounding conductor (ground wire) is the current path that enables protective devices, such as circuit breakers and fuses, to operate when a fault occurs.
So proper earthing can help, it is also safe to switch off water heater before use .There should be caution sign on the doors of bathrooms "switch off water heater before use".
The news about people being electrocuted in their bathroom now raises a lot of dust about building regulations.
A lot of people engage Electrician to do their home Electrical installations,which they feel is cheaper. Engaging an electrician is fine but It's always advisable u ask an electrical engineer to sign off b4 use, because most Electrician do earthing but are never sure if the earthing proper.
A test can always be carried out for proper earthing.
