The 3-5-2 formation looks good in theory but there are a couple of issues with it.

1) It is a difficult formation to master especially for those who never played it before or those whose intelligence is not top notch. Martin Skrtel recently left his club after a few weeks because of his inability to master their 3 man defence.

2) It depends on wing backs who are very creative going forward. Without attacking wing backs the system would be a dead end and we will struggle even more to score goals. Apart from old man Young i don't think we have the full backs to make it work IMO.

I believe Dalot would do well as a wing back on the right. As for the left, just Young. Maybe Rojo too.

I really do hope Rojo benches Young on that LB against WestHam
