I have at least one of my parent. It is the duty of a parent to take care of the children they decide to have.

I have only mum but she's currently incapacitated and not earning. Her pension was last paid January. I should be the one taking care of her but right now nothing, and the economy is soo harsh. You can check my last thread to have a glimpse of what i mean.

Bro but what he said is not far from the truth. One has to take charge of life without waiting for a supreme being to help. It's making Nigerians lazy without inventions. Most of the things we complain about is completely non existent in developed countries. Despite all our prayers we are still were we are. I still believe in God but i don't think he interfers directly in our affairs.

I've come across stories like yours several times on this forum, but there was one guy that really moved me.

He also prayed, fasted, emptied his account on seeds sowing and had a terminal disease, yet, the same god refused to heal him or make him prosper. I guess the guy is dead now.

There were two other guys who also gave tithes, singlehandedly built churches individually but are now so poor that they can't afford complete square meal daily.

No one can truly understand what you are going thru. Some "I too Know", "Holiest of Holies", "God's P.A" will try to guilt trip you by saying "Are you serving God for material things?".

They would forget to use their sense that this is a material word, so you need material things to survive.

People die because they couldn't afford just ₦10,000 for treatment, people die of sickness because they couldn't afford clean water, people die of famine.

If truly that God who sent you into this material word refused to bless you with material things, to me it seems like a king who sent an army of soldiers to war without any weapon. How would they survive? Isn't that tantamount to madness?

If people who didn't serve God are prospering more than those who serve him under the guise that God rains on both those who serve him and those who serve him not, then what's the advantage of serving God then?

Many people would come here to make you feel like you don't have faith enough or you are rebellious but ,don't mind them. Some will even tell you they've been thru worse yet they didn't waver.

They refused to understand that pains are in levels, a malaria patient is going thru pains, but he can never understands the pain of someone at last stage cancer.

Don't people die from pain? Don't people commit suicide?

Some will also come here with excerpts from the Bible and they'll start spewing rubbish.

My question to them is, "is it working?".

Those things don't work in real life. Forget all those stories in the Bible, this is reality.

Christians die the same way Muslims and Atheists die and other religions.

Dr. Myles Munroe (the supposed great man of God) died in a crash but several Atheists died in their homes, a very painless and honourable death.

Nigerians pray more and they are pained the more.

So regardless whether you pray, fast, hit your head on the rock or cut yourself like the prophets of Baal . There is no god out there to grant your wishes.

You have to start taking charge of your life. No imaginary sky daddy will do that for you.

I did answer your question. The answer was simply not to your liking is all. Look at the life of Jesus Christ and see for yourself how it can be possible to exist without having treasures here on earth.

Why not sell all you have, empty your bank accounts, give all the proceeds to the poor, Become homeless etc so you can follow Jesus wholeheartedly like he said? If you refuse this, then you honestly don't have any point.

Both of them are wrong. Africans need to stop believing there's a spiritual force waiting to bless or meet their needs with little or no effort,but their dedication to God is good. The white men need to come to realisation that there's spiritual aspect of life after death. What a man achieve in life shouldn't be all there's to be about him. They must acknowledge God and give him a place in Their lives.
