Good morning everyone. Please I would like to know if anyone has used Sterling Bank for their proof of funds. My dependent used my bank statement from Sterling for his dependent visa application, but his application was denied because they were unable to reach the bank to confirm my statement. This was around the time that the naira scarcity protests were ongoing, so we attributed that as the reason for UKVI not being able to reach the bank. We were advised to use the same account again when reapplying to prove that it was not a forged statement. I also got a bank support letter from Sterling and showed evidence from my bank statement of the tuition fee payments from there. I am a little apprehensive about using the bank again and just thought to ask if anyone has used statements from Sterling bank and if they had any issues with confirmation. Thank you! |

Good morning everyone. Please I would like to ask if anyone has used Sterling Bank for their POF and if they confirmed their bank statement to UKVI. My dependent applied earlier using my Sterling statement for POF and was denied because UKVI could not reach the bank to confirm my statement. This was during the period of the naira scarcity protests so we attributed the lack of response to that even though we found it absurd. We were adviced to use the same account to reapply so as to prove that it was not a forged document. I also asked the bank for a letter verifying the account and showed evidence of tuition fee payment from the said account. I would like to ask if anyone else has used Sterling Bank and if they had any issues like us. Thank you! |
