I humbly take time out to celebrate a woman of virtue. Someone who has continued to steady the ship, even in the absence of her wonderful husband, who is saturated with numerous societal activities.

It is obvious that the people of Oyi/Ayamelum have agreed that, they are not voting any other candidate except Hon.Ekene Ofumelu, the member representing Oyi/ Ayamelum federal constituency on the platform of people democratic party PDP, because of his performance in first term, which are visible to the blind and audible to the deaf people.

With a record of his excellent performance, Hon. Vincent Ekene Ofumelu is the only House of Representatives member in the history of Oyi/ Ayamelum federal constituency who have attracted more road projects and even completed them!!! A highlight includes, NKwelle, Awkuzu, Omor and Umuerum communities!!

Still on his excellent leadership and performance record, almost the 12 communities in Oyi/ Ayamelum federal constituency, have atleast one project each. Hon. Ofumelu brought on stream Igbakwu, Umunya and ogbunike just recently!!

Hon. Ofumelu has out performed his predecessors since 1999 till date. Most of the others vying with him have not shown any single input made in their various communities, rather they are running to enrich their pockets and satisfy their selfish interests.

Umu nne m - Ndi Oyi/ Ayamelum we can't allow any local champion politician to use ndi Oyi/ Ayamelum for their own gains. Ekene Ofumelu has shown competence in leadership, accountability, transparency And equity.

*OFUMELU AT OMOR COMMISERATES WITH DINYELU FAMILY*

The federal lawmaker representing Oyi/Ayamelum federal constituency Hon. Vincent Ofumelu, yesterday 25th of November visited Isiokwe Orenja village Omor ward 1 to commiserate with Comr. Udoji John Dinyelu member of *Ofumelu conscience family* over the death of his father, late chief Dinyelu Godwin Ayadiuno .

Speaking during the condolence visit Hon. Ofumelu, who was able represented by the chairman *Ofumelu conscience family* Ayamelum chapter, stated that there's time for everything, time to laugh and time to sorrow. Stated that, we should always get ready and plan for it, by upholding good deeds, so that when we meet our creator we can be able to give good account of our life. He went further to advice the family to always be in unity, peace, harmony and put God first in everything they do. As he is the Author and finisher of our faith.

May the soul of Chief Godwin Dinyelu and souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace.

Ofumelu Requests Urgent Intervention, Food, Drugs, and Other Relief Materials for Flood Victims in Ayamelum Communities.

The member representing Oyi/Ayamelum federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Vincent Ekene Ofumelu ESQ, has sought the intervention of the National Assembly and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), to quickly intervene in the flood devastation in his federal constituency and to provide relief materials to the flood victims.

The lawmaker in the letters addressed to the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development and the Motion sent to the Speaker of the House of the Representatives on October 6, 2022, and made available to the media, said more than two thousand houses and farmlands worth billions of Naira were destroyed by the devastating flood that has submerged most parts of the Federal Constituency.
 
"The recurrent and heavy downpour in this area leads to an upsurge of both the Anambra and Ezu river banks, causing excessive flood and erosion that has destroyed houses, properties, and farmlands in the communities of Omor, Ifitte-Ogwari, Igbakwu, Anaku, Umueje, and Umerum in the Ayamelum Local Government Area of Anambra State."

The effect of which has forced several families out of their homes, losing uncountable properties, including agricultural produce, to the flood. The majority of their homes have been taken over by aquatic animals since the flood has lasted for more than three weeks now.
 
"This situation has left the victims vulnerable to the attacks of these animals and the risk of a possible outbreak of an epidemic as a result of the polluted environment."
 
The lawmaker who doubles as the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Humanitarian Affairs also urged the House of Representatives to do as follows:
 
1. Request that the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) provide relief materials and medications to affected victims as soon as possible.
 
2. Request that the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development provides the victims with the necessary assistance as soon as possible.
 
3. Urge the Ecological Fund Office to conduct an on-the-spot assessment and environmental survey of the affected areas for proper documentation in proffering a lasting solution.
 
4. Mandate the Committees on Emergency and Disaster Preparedness, Women's Affairs and Social Development, and Ecological Fund to ensure compliance.

Hon. Vincent Ekene Ofumelu, who is most disturbed over the plight of his people and the destruction the recent flood has caused, has equally moved to deploy flying boats in most areas of the affected communities to rescue victims and has also appealed to the state and other major stakeholders to assist in sending succor to the flood victims.

HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES straight!!!

Amongst the lot contesting for a seat to represent ndi Idemili in the green chamber, I stand to be corrected that, it is only Hon. Ibezi Ifeanyichukwu, Ochiagha Idemili, that stands tall and shoulders above them all.

Not only physically, but also intellectually, content-wise and even manhood wise!!! In less than one year at the green chamber, his input in the national discourse and prioritizing the affairs of ndi Idemili was monumental and effective. In and out of governance, Ochiagha has continued to churn out, roadmaps and policy guidelines, that will eventually shape his legislative journey when it eventually begins, which should have been copied by anyone who loves ndi Idemili !!! One of the factors I have always harped on, is the issue of #ball-lessness!!! No leader who is being led by the hand to the stream or sponsored, can ever make a good leader!!! Hon. Ibezi has always remained as a standalone that others feed from as most of his programs are being copied by others. Examples include but not limited to, his medical outreach, his community health walkout, his youth lecture activity and community social engagement programs.

Did I forget to mention that, he says things the way they are. Hon. Ibezi has #balls.

I pray ndi Idemili will look in his direction, for a turnaround in their legislative fortunes, so that the Egyptians they see today, they will see no more.
