Exclusive Invites: International Alternative Energy and Oil Conference organized by Energia, United Nations Information Centre and DIC Lagos

This conference will bring together stakeholders in the energy sector as well representatives from the Government, NGOs and Corporate Nigeria to explore sustainable ways of ending the dependency of Nigeria on Oil and harnessing the power of alternative sources of energy to ending blackout in Nigeria.

As part of efforts to empower its online community with global knowledge and networking opportunities, and also because of the key linkages the focus of the conference has to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), DIC Lagos is giving out exclusive invites to selected members.

Development Information Centre, a service of the World Bank cited and United Nations Information Centre Lagos, Nigeria

DIC Lagos will be officially launched on Wednesday, 10th of November, 2010.

At the launch will be the World Bank Country Representative, Heads of UN agencies, NGO’s, Private Sector and Government ministries. Also attending will be local and international media representatives, and outstanding thought leaders from the development and business sectors.

DIC Lagos is giving out exclusive invites to selected members of its online community to attend this event.

The reduction of child mortality is the 4th Millennium Development Goal. Nigeria accounts for 10 percent of child deaths worldwide, with approximately 138 in 1000 children dying before their 5th birthday.
