I have same issue. I submitted on 7/4 shows received since 8/4 nothing yet. My wife did earlier in March got hers in a week. My son was at the Embassy on the 17th got his visa in a week and passport picked up already.

Hello everyone, hope we had a lovely Easter break .. just wanted to find out if anyone who submitted via IW this April in Lagos has gotten any feedback.. I submitted on the 10/4 nothing so far just shows received since the 11. Is Lagos this slow usually Abi it’s just this April batch 🤣

If you did not cancel your previous appointment and you try to start another one with the same account and for the same person. You'll get stuck there. Happened to me. To get past it, you'll have to cancel the previous appointment.

I cancelled the previous appointment before starting another one but I have same problem. I have raised a ticket and sent a mail. It is over a week still not resolved

Good morning . I cancelled the appointment and I opened a profile with a new email. Now it came up with duplicate applicant found for this user. Please how do I resolve this.

No. Please anyone that has resolved this IW issue Please advise on steps to take. I am thinking of picking the date for interview then cancel, pay again and start all over. But I don't know if I should use the same profile or create anew one using another email. I need help

My appointment letter did not include any details until a date was picked. I believe it was the consulate calendar I picked from. I've been checking to see if I can get an earlier date in Lagos but all I'm being provided is January 2026 in Lagos and March 2026 in Abuja. These dates are crazy. I can maybe understand for interview but makes no sense to wait over a year for drop box.


Good Morning Peacefulone. Did this happened after paying again? Did the letter show Interview waiver? I want to cancel my appointment and pay again hoping to get the Interview waiver? Please has anyone with this issue been able to resolve it.

His passport expired in April this year and he clocked 14 years in July 2024
I clicked no and it took me to March 2026 (Abv)
He qualified interview waiver

Once you're 14. You are expected to have your finger prints taken either at the embassy or point of entry.
On the old portal he qualifies for the IW but a message will be sent by the embassy with a date he can come for his Ten printing . I have similar situation with my daughter. I guess you just say yes to quality then the embassy may give a date to come for the Ten printing

Please have you been able to get the IW after initially been directed to physical interview? Do I create another profile using a different email without the risk of duplicate registration? Do I go ahead and pick a physical date because my appointment is still pending for now? and then cancel? Can I use the same profile afterwards and still get the IW.

Please can anyone that has been able to resolve issue of being directed to physical interview probably because of choosing empty in the Annotation. Help proffer a solution. Thank you

Has anyone on this forum seeking for interview waiver IW on the new portal but directed to physical interview has resolved the issue. Can sending an email to Lagos NIV work. I can't afford to pay all over again?

Did he have to pay again after he cancelled the other appointment just to get the IW? I guess because I choose empty fot the Annotation question. But really it has no Annotation

Wanted to start a page to discuss and track issues on the new AVITS site regarding Drop Box and Interview Waiver issues. My mother qualifies for drop box but everytime I get directed to Consulate Appointments. Even the interview waiver letter has not yet been received.

I know others have complained of the same issue, and I though it would be good to have one central place to discuss and track the issue.

Hi I guess lots of us have same issues. Probably because choosing empty in the Annotation question. Please is there anybody that has solved this problem? I tried sending an email but I was directed to fill out the google forms. But can not find answer to this problem.
