PoliticsRe: Dangote To Supply IPMAN 240 Million Litres Of Petrol Monthly by Gboss247(m): 2:54pm On Nov 19, 2024

It's the high exchange rate of 1725 naira to a dollar that is causing Dangote fuel to be expensive...so let the federal government appreciate the naira and make it have value against the dollars.. like if the exchange rate is from 600 naira to a dollar the price of fuel, disel, kerosene will be very cheap and affordable for nigerians to buy.. which it will reduce inflation and reduce the price of foodstuffs and goods and services... simple ..this one does not require prayers as Tinubu wife wanted to organize 7 days prayers
The minimum wage have to be reduced in naira and banks been decapitalize banks.

Without prejudice to your submission that others should build their refineries and compete with Dangote, I am hoping that anyone who wants to build will enjoy exactly the kind of support that Dangote enjoyed from the Government while building his refinery. Support such as subsidized dollar, equity financing and others. It is only then that we can talk of fair trade practices.
Subsidized dollar? When others where learning about future contract and forward contract in economics, you were busy distracting the class.

That money was already borrowed for the sole purpose of 20% stake at the refinery.

Why was part paid and the rest restricted?

Who was in charge?

Who gave the order for the part payment?

Where is the BALANCE?
I don't understand your part payment and restriction part, but ask ourselves some critical question
When NNPCL invested in Dangote refinery, how do much they invest and how much was Dangote Industries Limited raising? What was the capital before NNPCL invested and after was there any investment, if any, how much?

They should create a means where people can subscribe and view to their channels using smart phone and sim(forget all these thier dual view ans so on). and at a very cheap rate too... They will get back their customers in no time.

The future of TV is on smart phones and portable devices. Majority of adults these days don't watch TV except during news or sports.

They just buy it for sake of their children and visitors
Showman is main streaming service of MultiChoice, but DStv has DStv Stream and GOtv has GOtv Stream.

They're blaming the loss of customers on inflation

Meanwhile, Netflix is growing under the same inflation

Who are they deceiving?Wrong comparison, Netflix is in the class with Showmax.

So many people are not happy with their pricing model on which they even repeat movies and shows without an opportunity to choose what to watch when you want it

Nigeria is not asking the important questions.

Nigeria borrowed billions of dollars to buy 20% stake in dangote refinery. But ended having 7% share.

What happened to the balance of the money?
When one shareholder refuses to invest when others investing, that shareholder looses her share percentage.

It is not that easy to remove 40 or 50 trillion from circulation.

The CBN has been doing all it can to remove it. It will take a few years more to achieve.
It is very easy if FG diversify the economy, remove export restrictions on agricultural products, reduce the minimum wage in naira, decapitalize commercial banks for massive forex earnings. The volume in circulation will only reduce when Nigeria earns more forex.

Yea, thats good. Refine our oil, carry it outside to as far as Europe and Asia to sell. For us Nigerians, it is beyond our reach. Let the importers bring fuel into the country at competitive price.
FG can abandon Naira for fuel deal with Dangote as Nigerians cant afford dangote fuel. Sell in dollar to dangote as its selling in dollar to Europe, Africa and Asia countries
The marketers you are hoping on has not a drop into Nigeria, it is NNPCL who imports and subsidized for marketers to add their profits

Dangote should reduce his price. How can the imported be cheaper than locally produced? I had thought Nigeria wouldn't need to import fuel but with the price Dangote is selling now, I think I'll support importation to stop Dangote from exploiting Nigerians.

They make big money from smuggling but sells PMS at a cheaper rate. Dangote that bought in naira, no shipping fee, no import duty, loading fee etc still sells at higher amount? Who then is racking all their resources? We Nigerians hate truth! How can Dangote PMS produced in Nigeria be higher than the one produced in Europe and shipped to Nigeria?
When you are ready to face reality, no marketer will import petrol without secret subsidy from NNPCL which as ended.

Nigerians in their induced entitlement state now demand accountability from private individuals instead of public office holders and top civil workers like Kyari of NNPCL.
What happened to state owned refineries? Lets start from there.
Secondly, how much is crude sold to Dangote, below international price?
Thirdly, why is Dangote's direct price to trucks N11 lower than NNPCL's price to trucks from same refinery? Where does the N11 go to?
Are you really expecting NNPCL to buy at the same price with others when they are shareholders?

That being said,i tink dangote should reduce his price even though ano d price is based on d expensive crude they bought abroad before NNPC finally agreed to sell crude to dem.
Expensive crude than is cheaper than Nigerian crude

I used to support the guy but this price is so unfortunate. Literally everyone fought so you could run this refinery and buy crude in Naira. Now you are competing price with international companies that pay more tax than you do, pay employees $60k - $150k per year which is an average of 200million naira per employees. He does even pay 12m per year to Nigerians employees. We are not even talking about transport cost before the PMS gets to Nigeria. Dangote is crazy. His fuel should be more than N600 per litre.

I was hoping NNPC was going to subsidize crude oil for him so he could sell cheap in Nigeria. Why was govt waiting for Dangote refinery all this while?

Well, we hope other refineries come up. Dangote is certainly not the answer and it breaks my heart 💔
You were for NNPCL to subsidize when the PIA 2021 has deregulated the sector and NNPCL has been commercialized?

The difference in USD/NGN is less than 8% since the refinery became operational. 108% of the former retail price of 600 is 648. How did Dangote now arrive at 960?

Besides crude is sold to Dangote in Naira. I had no hope in him before knowing the kind of businessman he was, but this is just unbelievable.
Have you ever asked yourself how naira arrived at N1,700/$ or minimum wage at N70,000?

What do you want dangote to do, dangote is not your president rather he is a businessman and a businessman wants to maximize his profit fully. If you want cheap PMS hold your government responsible, let them build or fix our refinery so that they can sell 400 naira per liter, but will it be possible? NO!! corruption no go gree us
So, fixing NNPCL refineries is next magic abi? Are you aware of the petroleum industry acts (PIA 2021) has deregulated the oil industry completely making NNPCL a commerical organization that maximize profits? Are you aware naira devaluation and minimum wage increment?
