THE AUTOMATIC GARRI FRYING MACHINE
OR THR MANUAL FRYING TRAYS
There are arguments that this machine doesn't work properly- or some say, it is not as perfect as using the hand. Well, believing that it can't be better than using a hand is the same as believing that firewood is better than the kerosine stove and then, now, we're in the gas era. If you frying machine is not good, then it's not good, because what it does is simply helping you to stir, so you can eliminate pressures of labour, fry more than a hand can fry at a time and save you costs.
The frying machine could be electrically driven or independently driven by the petrol or diesel engine that would be attached to it. It's the clients choice. It has a stainless steel frying bowl and you can choose between gas burners or firewood or charcoal. Note that you can also choose to use electricity as a heat source, if you got the money to expend.

THE MANUAL FRYING TRAYS are stainless steel and could come in 4x4ft or 4x8ft. They could also use gas burners or firewood

HYDRAULIC PRESSERS- this could be operated with a jack or could be electric/pneumatic

The hydraulic presser is what you need to remove water from the cassava pulp, after grating. It is powered by a 32tons jack. This presser would also be automatic. This presses within 30 min, but this is for large scale production. For smaller scale, you should choose between single chamber or double chamber.

2. THE CASSAVA GRATING MACHINE- this could be electrically driven or non electrically driven
The idea that a grater needs a very big engine is actually an old school belief. With modern ways of fabrication and the right accessories, your grater can run on a 6.5hp petrol engine or a 5hp electric motor, without a hitch. If you want more durability and power, a 13hp petrol engine or a 7.5hp diesel engine already does the work. The big green lister engine is a waste of space, in today's modern fabrication.

This grater doesn't require you to Pound the cassava after throwing it in. You simply throw it in, you close the lid and watch it come out

After pressing, most people just put into the clarifier. This is not right. This is the reason why most palm oil have strong smell. The next step should be cooking the oil from the pressing. This has two advantages
1. It helps increase the shelf life of the palm oil
2. It removes the string smell from the sludge

The last stage would be THE CLARIFIER- This is a non mechanical device that you pour the cooked palm oil into and it separates the oil from water.

HONOURABLE MENTION- THE AUTOMATIC DIGESTER AND PRESEER
Though, a bit expensive, but very effective and a refreshing way of producing palm oil with zero stress. The machines simple takes in the steamed palm fruits, digests and presses at the same time. Carefully separating the nuts and outter skin separately and the oil is collected separately

5. DIGESTER

After steaming, the now soft and steamed fruits are then thrown into the digester. This process is to separate the outter skin, which contains the palm oil, from the palm kernel nut that is inside.

After digestion, this pulp (the outter later that has been removed) is then put into the presser and you jack for oil to come out.

I am discussing both machines at the same time because of two reasons-

1. While it is cheaper, it is a waste of time and Energy. Because you will need to first digest it, using the digester, then pack it up and put it in the presser and start jacking for palm oil to come out. [/i]

2. There is a single machine that automatically does the two jobs at the same time. The name is the AUTOMATIC DIGESTING AND PRESSING MACHINE[i]

4. THE STEAMER
Steaming commences after washing. The palm fruits are then carefully put into a steel drum to steam. This process could be done by using local drums. But I would always suggest the food grade stainless steel steaming drums. Apart from the fact that it is 100% safe and hygienic, you should not worry about rust or contaminations.

3. WASHER
The washing machine is an optional machine. Instead of paying thousands of naira for that, many choose to wash by hand. After sifting, this is easy. No pines to cause you any injury
