The Job tittle will be Embedded Software Engineer.
 
Roles and Responsibilities

1 Designs, codes, tests, debugs, implements, maintains, and documents programs using various programming languages and various operating systems with minimal supervision to comply with corporate standards

2 Assists in installation of software ensuring systems function as designed, updates systems to stakeholder specifications and provides necessary support of software modifications

3 Port terminal software across to multiple terminals

4 Documents the processes used in the installation and maintenance of systems to ensure clear knowledge and record of action

5 Provides and responds to on-call status and ensures systems function as designed in order to maintain efficient operations

6 Develops software using structured development methodology in order to ensure appropriate process is followed

7 Testing banking / EFTPOS terminal applications.

9 Defect resolution.
10 Integration of mobile terminals to server consoles
Skills
Strong C/C++ or Java skills and ideally a financial solutions background
 
POSXML, Terminal Communication Language(TCL).
He should be highly experienced in programming in embedded Linux with skills in C / C++ / Java.
The role will require you to be up to speed very quickly so a strong background in embedded Linux C / C++ or Java programming is essential.
Should have a good understanding of TCP/IP, SSL, FTP, SFTP, XML and Cryptography.
Experience of Payment Solutions (Debit Card / Terminal Applications Point of Sale Terminals (POS)
EMV
XML
