You are right one one thing - ebo or sacrifice is required. But, it could get tricky.
They could further tie you down and get more access into your wake life to do as they please.
Even with spirit beings, one has to be wise and thread carefully.
You can as well manage your predicaments till you die without performing any sacrifices, as long as you can bear them. Mind you, they'll still find ways to frustrate you, but you have what it takes to overcome the setbacks.
