Even if we buy from Dangote refinery, we will be paying in dollars or naira in dollars equivalents.
Because crude oil is an international commodity traded in dollars. These dollars pays the salary of Nigerians and also is the money they give all the states as federal allocation.
So you are asking Dangote's business to pay the salary of all Nigerians, buy buying all out crude oil and then the government gives him back the money by buying petrol from him.
It feels incestuous. They can assign him a reasonable quota but energy independence has to be maintained.

I also said that importation will not stop no matter how Dangote fights it

I also said that Dangote is doing all these for his selfish ambition of monopolizing the petroleum industry and that he will fail woefully with his plan and people called me all sort of names.

Completely agree with you. Farouk might be wrong, but we should not jump from frying pan to fire. Nigerian government should give local refineries a quota and also import a certain quota with a price benchmark.
If we surrender all out petrol needs to one private business man. Its the most foolish decision ever. He will show us shege down the line.
He will be so powerful anytime, the government upsets him, he will just increase petrol prices.....lol

If Dangote is the corruption Czar he claims to be, Where was this energy when he was getting subsidized dollars from Emefiele. Who is the most corrupt Nigerian in modern times. Building a 750-Unit estate with stolen funds. Dangote did not report him to ICPC. They did business together amicably.

Dangote reduced his price to corner the people, their sympathy and every other things to himself. He then systematically attack NMDPRA, choosing the head, Farouk, for his hits. This guy is simply playing a kind of resistance as it is played out in the movie Money Heist. (simply make the established system the villain, give the populace some goodies to earn their sympathy, then direct them to destroy the enemy, the establishment). In this case NMDPRA which gave licence out to importers to scout refined products from Russia is the establishment. The question is that why should Dangote lose sleep if anyone choose to import their productd and sell at lose? Why should Dangote cry if importers chose to import and spill their products all over the sea?

Another question people fail to ask, what magic happened now that made Dangote reduce the price of his product? Has crude oil price in the international market crashed? Did FG waived import duties or the shipping cost suddenly reduced? All along, Dangote is manipulating the market selling exhorbitantly to Nigerians and now that he sees some guys ar going out to bring in fuel which could compete with him, he panicked, rush and reduced price, and now attacking NMDPRA for issuing licence for importation. What he has been doing is profiteering which is a crime.Are u ok? Are u an IMPORTER,

Nigeria should wise up, the Greek gift and sudden Santa gifting from Dangote is to weed out competition. And the importers are here to stay. If they can get fuel at a reduced price from anywhere, they should be allowed to do it.
