I believe, I will write down my own Approval and Landing Gist in no distant time....... also, wish you all the best. talk2priscal: LANDING GIST…..
First of all, I’d like to return all glory back to God almighty for his mercy over me throughout all the processes. So the journey story: My boarding at mmia Lagos was a smooth one because I work at the airport as government officials before my resignation. The airline (Egypt air) checkin staffs request for Acceptance/ offer letter, evidence of payment of tuition, visa, and I was equally asked to login into my student portal. After confirming all, we boarded about 1400 hours and landed at Cairo at about 2000 hours. We were lodged into hotel at Cairo about 0230 hours next day and we were to wake up 0400 hours as checkin begins 0600 hours to fly to Toronto.Meanwhile ,the same process of confirmation of studentship also played out at Cairo airport. The students were asked to show acceptance letter, payment of tuition fee and to also login to our respective school portal. Some of the prospective students we traveled together had issues here as they were not expecting repetition of all the checks. However the 12 hours flight from Cairo to Toronto started about 0900 hours and we landed in Toronto about 1300 hours local time. Immediately we landed, everyone proceeded to arrive can checkin, I scanned my passport and the machine printed a slip for me. I proceeded to Canada border security agents CBSA where I was asked if I came in with fish or meat. I was later directed to a counter where they do attend to student. I met a long queue and I was on the queue for about 1 hour until my turn. The officer that attended to me asked me the name of the school am going and I told him. He asked if I have made any payments to the school and I showed him receipts of the payment I made. After inputting some details into his computer, he told me to sit down for my student permit.
I want to use this medium to still encourage Nigerians that may be interested in traveling through the students route not to be discouraged. It’s not that difficult at the point of entry as some people here have painted. Note that I will be starting my program during the fall sept and I have entered 2 months before the program. When you get to the entry point, be calm, don’t be tense, answer the questions the officer asked politely and it will come through. I appreciate all the info I got from Nairaland. All our dealings will end in praises. Shalom
I am open to help anyone that needs help in terms of answers to questions and clarifications on the study permit.. such persons can dm or send messages to dayborade @ g mail dot com |

Thank you sir ShowYoung: A self sponsored person doesn't necessarily need to pay full tuition fee at once. |

Noted ShowYoung: You do not necessarily need to pay full tuition fee at once. Full payment at once is a choice |

I was only asked to pay just first semester deposit as indicated on the LOA of Fanshawe College and it's a one year program. Also, is it possible to reapply cos school resumes September 5th 2023, but the next session for Project management is May 2024 start day, since January applications has closed at Fanshawe. better advice would appreciated this is my first time applying to a school in Canada. Thank you onyekachee: as a self sponsor, you are expected to pay your full tuition for one year, you can still reapply if you get your note on time against fall,if the money for tuition is available then just pay the complete fees then let your brother in USA send money for the living expenses..then you are good to go |

My application was reviewed less than one months. I submitted documents that the agent asked me to gather including the ones I saw from this forum.... study plan (as they called it "less than a page" POF ( personal account " did not bother to include my company account" 2 Land Documents and 1 property under tenancy certificate to operate pawn and thrift in my State Email response for residency application at Fanshawe tuition deposite receipt LOA Tax returns for my Company CAC certificate . int passport Self sponsor letter These are the documents I submitted Also, I truly agree on the part of getting a professional with my SOP " I wrote it myself and have no idea if the agents even read through or made any reviews before submitting " My brother will come in probably as the main sponsor for the tuition while I cover the living expenses and miscellaneous, I am not actively working and my supposed company account doesn't have enough active financial activities to be brought forward as at the time I was compiling my documents. I hope to reapply so any form of guidance would be fully appreciated . Thank you zubizareta: Give more details or your previous application and what form of sponsorship your brother is bringing in then you will get good feedbacks. Also, you might have to get a more professional help with your sop.
Finally, if you have been actively working or doing business then your brother can only be a co sponsor. That would make more sense. Probably you sponsor yourself for living expenses and miscellaneous while he covers tuition |

Hello everyone, I am new on Nairaland and I was denied study visa yesterday. I have been following this thread randomly but I need answers and guidance from the gurus in the house. I went for a one year certificate program and was denied yesterday 28th June reason bothering not having enough funds to pay the remaining balance of tuition and don't believe I will return back to Nigeria after completion of studies, I'm still in shock and I've not ordered for gcms note yet. Also, I applied through an agent and think it wise to inform them on the latest update on my visa application. but I wish to reapply but I don't know if its for the next academic session starting May 2024 or still for this session starting September 5 2023 pardon my confusion. I was the sole sponsor for this denied application but I intend adding my brother that resides in the USA as my co-sponsor for the next application. Suggestions and advice from the gurus in the house would be much appreciated at this point. Please, kindly reach out to me in this thread I wait for your replies. Thank you. |
