This got me rolling.
Guyman want his 150k phone to perform like a 600k phone. He for jeje buy Spark 20

We have seen that line of statement here over the years. They will buy the lowest versions that even those that use the brand mostly avoid only to compare with the best phone from another brand.

Good evening, thanks for the advice, which other phone can I go for that is not too costly, is not a must for it to be a recent phone.

Here are my reasons, getting a brand new will be difficult because it is out of production which means you are left with the used market and the likelihood of getting one in top condition is another of my fear.

Also the network bands on the Chinese brand differs from Global whilst you may be covered in very urban areas you may not be so lucky if your areas has one band your phone doesn't support.

What is your budget?

I need to ask this question, what's the hype about Redmi series?
Bought the just launched Redmi 14c and the lagging is just frustrating. I decided to go for the Redmi after seeing all the hype but I'm regretting it right now. The phone lags so much and the ram management is trash. You can't even switch between 3 apps without them starting afresh. Again what's this hype all about??

Who hyped Redmi 14c?

Didn't you see Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G?

Is redmi k30 5g a good buy? Base on the current price of phone.

Why buy the Chinese variant of a 2019/2020 device?

Secondly that device is too old IMO

This tone, it was in the previous quote I Just skipped it, I ignored it and replied normally. Now it's here again.
Is there a problem you have somewhere?
Why are you like that, because I didn't see an ad in the previous page??
(I definitely searched "Poco F6", but then I used more as I did not get any results from that)

Why are you coming at me like that??
Do I have history with you form somewhere?

You are the one that is bringing tone into it.

If you don't know what it is meant by this is Nairaland not Google, Bing or Chatgpt simply means that this webpage doesn't have the complexity as relates to search like the referenced platforms.

I passed a message your understanding and interpretation of that message is on you.

I plainly spoke in technical terms.

Oh! As for the first response that was totally intentional.

I actually did a general Nairaland Search before posting (as is the standard), nothing from recently actually came up. I don't know how that was skipped or how I didn't see it.
And i was careful to use different right keywords, so as to be able to see or catch something.

You only need to search Poco F6 no other keyword is needed. This is Nairaland not Google, Bing or chatgpt

My redmi note 11 pro 5g is having an over heating issues when I am using MTN network to browse. It won't even download anything on 5g and the signal keeps switching to 4g.
But immediately I change the data SIM to Glo, the phone will become normal and be getting cold. I don't know it's me or MTN. I have even changed the SIM but it keeps heating up.
Glo is not giving me the speed I want and their data subscription is more expensive than MTN.
Help out please.

MTN has been a thorn in everyone's flesh lately with instability. I will advise you force your device to 4G for now

What do you think about Civi 4 Pro. Is it any better than Poco F6 considering they both use same chipset

The major difference apart of size, is the Civil 4 Pro has a superior camera setup to the Poco F6 and pro

don't mean the Xiaomi flagship, either redmi or pocco. Thanks.

IP 68 for 500k is not realistic.

Even the Poco F6 comes with IP 64 and the base version cost a little above 500k(510k)

The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus has IP 68 but it is above 600k and the performance asides the camera is below the Poco F6

Locally I doubt, I scouted through the market I couldn't find any except those DC ones which I don't like, the only available option is the infrared cooker with adjustable wattage

Can you share a link to the infrared cookers with adjustable wattage?

I have not tested it extensively because I don't want to use it only on batteries, I want the sun to supply the needed watts.
This is short test only on battery and it heats up very fast.

Can you recommend a similar product that can be sourced locally. The infrared cookers on Jumia, I am see a rating of 2200W and above

The last time I bought a phone was in July 2021. A MI 11 Lite for 154k. The phone is the best phone I have used so far. Seamless, sleek. I haven't had issue with the phone .
There is a need to change it as I feel it's getting old and the camera keep crashing.

I have been researching on phone to buy and honestly can't believed I have to spend almost 700k to buy a beautiful phone that suit my taste.

I am confused though. Please suggest a very strong phone I can get with 700k that will last for me. Thanks alot

My humble suggestion is to look for a Xiaomi 13 or an S23.

If you can up your budget then the Xiaomi 14, S24 or the Pixel 9 is an easy pick

Poco F6.
Does POCO phones have the same premium quality like MI series ?
Don't mine me , I am so engrossed with the MI Phones .

Poco F6 is in between a flagship killer and an upper midrange.

If you need premium Mi series and by mi series I mean Xiaomi 12, 13 and 14 series minus their lite variants
