This tablet review by okpara.net is especially in favour of the Maxim Matrixpad S13 from maximng.com

If you're a power user and want to buy a tablet then consider these suggestions: if you intend using a tablet that uses wifi for Internet connectivity then buy a Goodtel tablet, it has 2 variants of the tablets based on memory & storage capacity, and it's from Valencia, Spain (not a cheap China product). Note that presently there are no sim slots. If you're buying a tablet for kids, you may consider getting them any of these: atouch(se,19life, ultra, max etc), modio(all those m-something like m28, m36 etc but to me they all look arabian), you might also get the oteeto, xtigi(hope etc), umidigi, c idea, trifone, origimo, aocwei etc. I consider all these educational tablets. However, I will discourage the use of Discover Note series just for one thing, their android os version, 8.1. If they can release their tablet on Android 11 or later, then their tablet will be one of those better alternatives. Note also that most of these tablets run on Android 8.1 (Oreo) or 9 (pie) which are both old to me.

If you've the money close your eyes and buy Infinix xpad (the first tablet from infinix) forget about that Tecno's megapad. By the way, I wasn't paid by any company or anyone to do this review. Though Tecno tries a lot with their products, I remember the hexacore R-something they produced years ago before embracing the octacore CPUs. Infinix is more reliable.

Infinix has a way of doing the right thing then starts following the cheap-china trend. For instance, they did the right thing with Infinix Note 3 (then started playing around), then they did the right thing again with Note 10 and started playing around with note 11, 12, 40 with (lite, i, pro, max etc) product lines. The Note series to me are the best, striking a balance between the infinix hot and zero product lines.

To our business, after exhausting all possible online checks & assessments for a "cheap" android phone in Nigeria in particular, the Maxim Matrixpad S13 (I didn't say the litepad) is to me the best low budget tablet.

The graphics quality is inferior to that of the Infinix xpad, which is by the way, the tablet that strikes the balance between the exotic/expensive ones (Google Nest, Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 & later, Amazon Fire etc) and the cheap ones. The Carevery high-end tablet from China is also another alternative but check the battery. You may also consider getting any of Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE 8.7, Huawei mediatek t310 (or later) or Nokia T20/T21. Note that these have no additional accessories in the box.

Finally, if you are getting a tablet, get the one with Android 11, 13 or 14. I don't trust that 12.
