Tunji93:U welcome |
Horlamijazzy:What option do you want to apply for? |
Tunji93:Yes, it can still be corrected Unilag will only charge you #1,000 for the correction Follow me step by step Step 1 Login to your portal click here Step 2 Click on continue application Step 3 Input your reference number and surname in small letters as password Step 4 Click on re-open application (It then gives you a prompt informing you that it costs #1,000 to make any changes so to continue click reopen) Step 6 Select reopen, it then sends you a payment advice. Step 7 Click the online payment button, select your mode of payment and enter all necessary details form your atm card Step 8 When it is successful it sends acknowledgement and redirects you to ur application page Step 9 Login and make all necessary adjustments Step 10 Re-submit your application( make sure you go through the details again to be sure they are all correct, cuz you would pay another 1k to make corrections after you've resubmitted) All the best |
Topstarr:You welcome, but then as design and production option student, nothing stops you from taking thermofluid courses as electives, wishing you all the best in your endeavours |
Topstarr:Yes bro, the thermofluid set currently undergoing the MSc program in unilag are 25 in number, not a single one of them had agricultural engineering at Bsc level, even the previous set before them, it's a prerequisite in unilag that you must have Bsc Mechanical Engineering to be able to take Msc Mechanical Engineering (Thermofluid option). And if you have Bsc Agricultural Engineering you can only take Msc Mechanical Engineering (design and production option) or Msc Mechanical Engineering (applied Mechanics option), in a case where someone applies wrongly, I.e applies for an option without meeting the Bsc requirements, it's a two way thing, your exam result status may read "not recommended" now take note that design and production already filled up their slot, it is only if you have an impressive score at the entrance exam and do follow up, then the department can consider adding you to the already filled up slot in design and production option (special consideration). the present and previous set confirms this, My conversation with the postgraduate coordinator of mechanical engineering recently also Confirms this. Thanks |
Whatever you do, don't forget that the unilag msc mechanical admission is competitive still, only 80 people got admitted out of 3000 applicants last year. The 2920 will join this year's applicants, the go-to is to put in place strategies that will increase your chances of admission, one of which is early preparation, another is having an informed sense of direction on which specific topics to read, another is having an understanding of the exam style, not everyone has the luxury of time to read at length as some applicants are working class, but I know the number of working class that got admitted last year despite the stiff competition and office challenges, it will take more than the regular study pattern to get admission looking at the competition, you must be ready to outsmart the majority by studying smart. P.S i DONT do examination/admission runs. But I sure know legitimate ways of acing the exam. |
If you are considering applied mechanics, you should be ready for the possible outcomes, the course may or may not run this year, due to the reason stated above, before applying make sure you are ready to score high in the entrance exam and ready to switch to d&p should in case |
The msc application form goes for #22,500, if you are yet to get yours, make plans towards getting it, unilag Post utme ended on Friday 10th August (4 days ago) I can assure you the pg exam is the next thing on their mind. they are getting ready for you, are u getting ready for them? |
Tunji93:If I understand your question correctly, you want to know if design and production covers every aspect of mechanical engineering or if preference is given to certain areas? Would appreciate if u can rephrase the question for the sake of clarity, thanks |
Now to the main reason why this thread was created how to *ace* the exam,to be honest with you, u would need 2017 pastquestions if u must ace this exam, and I'm happy to inform you that you can get it from me, i have past questions for all three options 1) thermofluid, 2) applied mechanics(solid) and 3) design and production (d & P) soft copies and hard copies from 2009-2017, I had over 70 marks when I wrote the exam, those who purchase this from me will have access to my email to get response as regards other classified info, the comprehensive soft copy goes for #3,000 while the hard copy goes for #5000 I can deliver to any part of the country, chat me HERE if u want to get a copy, keep asking questions and I will be here to answer for free thanks |
Topstarr:With bsc in agricultural engineering you can only apply for design and production option, there are about 4 canditates from agricultural engineering that are running design and production presently, you may be admitted but trust me you would have to change option and this change process is not as simple as it sounds. |
Tunji93:Sorry for the delayed response Mr jide, Applied mechanics option will be called solid mechanics option this time around, even though it may still appear as applied mechanics on the pg site, and the number of candidates that applies is what will determine if the option will hold, the condition for switching to design and production is that the candidate does very well in the entrance examination, the guy who switched to design and prorduction during last year's admission had 64, cut off being 46 marks, take the info given to you very seriously. For the pastquestions send me a chat on WhatsApp HERE , Thanks |
Tunji93:Yes they had just one person admitted for applied mechanics option during last two years (2016/2017) the same thing happened last year (2017/2018), but both of them had to change to design and production option before semester commenced for each year, this was because having only a candidate for applied mechanics option as a result of low application from students for both years wasn't encouraging to run the course considering getting lecturers to take the course and all. As it stands there's no guarantee for the course this year also, but if enough students applies for the option this year, then it will be possible. exam is written ( 60 obj multiple choice questions) o.m.r answer sheet. |
I will be helping with strategic info as to how to ace the examination, feel free to ask questions. I will try my possible best to reply you without much delay. |
Are u aspiring for unilag postgraduate admission in Mechanical Engineering this 2018. UNILAG Offers three options under mechanical engineering namely 1) design and production option, 2) thermofluid option, 3) applied mechanics option. Applied mechanics option HASN'T run in the last 2 sessions now (2016/2017) and (2017/2018) sessions, hence no graduate of the course has been produced since then. Check other pages on this thread for updates on Applied Mechanics. Here's statistics of the number of people admitted last year (2017/2018 Academic session) 1) Design and production option ( 55 people) 2) Thermofluid option (25 people) 3) Applied Mechanics option (1 person, who later joined Design & production) Cut-Off mark was 46, sales of msc forms has commenced and it's stipulated to close by end of this month August 31st 2018. But from experience, they will extend it for at least two weeks. The form costs #22,250 and online payment through remita is the best In order to ace the exam, u will need past questions. Get past questions for all mechanical engineering options to better position you to smash the exam. BONUS 1:- get free list of specific text books to help you prepare well, also get free tips on how to go about your application, BONUS 2: get added to a WhatsApp group of fellow prospectives to form a study group. chat me up HERE stating your choice option. In case you need me to do your application for you as well either due to time constraint or difficulty registering, u are very much welcome. Thanks. |
