Until further notice, the Nigerian Police Zonal Monitoring Unit, Zone 2 Headquarters in Onikan, Lagos, would retain custody of Azeez Adekunle Lawal, also known as Kunle Poly.

On Thursday, a Yaba Chief Magistrate’s Court rendered a decision in the case against him and other NURTW Bosses.

Chief Magistrate Linda Balogun remanded Lawal, Prince Idowu Onikoyi Johnson, and Agboola Akeem Kosoko.

A riot broke out last week in Lagos Island areas including Balogun, Kosoko Martins, Idumota, Oluwole.

A number of persons were injured and business activities paralyzed. One person died in the bloody fracas which lasted two days.

Balogun ordered the remand of the defendants after an application by Police counsel, Morufu Animashaun.

Senator Rochas Okorocha has declared his intention to run for president on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2023.

Okorocha made this known in a letter to the Senate President which was read by Ahmad Lawan at plenary.

He said he will address a world press conference on Monday 31st January 2022 to officially declare his ambition to contest the presidency.

This should make it easy to distinguish between close friends versus everyone else you follow on Twitter. To send a tweet to your Flock, it looks like Twitter will display an audience option before you send it out, letting you choose between all of Twitter and your selected users.

On Tuesday, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) engaged in a verbal brawl on social media.

The debate erupted when FAAN accused the NCS of a security breach at Lagos' Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA).

According to FAAN's official, Mrs Henrietta Yakubu, the Customs Area Comptroller for Hajj and Cargo Terminal at the Lagos Airport and one Agunbiade, a customs officer on the Comptroller's entourage, manhandled Aviation Security (AVSEC) personnel on duty at Gate 3 of the airport's Security Restricted Area (SRA).

Yakubu said that AVSEC officials on day duty at Gate 3 were profiling a Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) vehicle attempting to enter the Security Restricted Area at Gate 3 when the Customs Area Comptroller appeared and pulled off behind the NAHCO vehicle being attended to.

She said that Agunbiade, the accused customs officer, was in the Area Comptroller's entourage and forced the AVSEC officer aside at the entrance.

Yakubu said that Customs personnel took over gate 3 and unlocked it for the Comptroller and his companions to enter the Security Restricted Area via gate 3.

Omashola Oburoh, a former Big Brother Naija Pepper Dem Gang housemate, and his fiancee have had a newborn boy.
The reality TV star took to his Instagram page on Tuesday to announce the good news.

Sharing a picture of himself opening a bottle of wine, he wrote, “It’s a boy.”

This comes barely a week after he shared a video of his fiancee at the hospital undergoing a pregnancy scan. The video showed a sonogram which showed the baby’s movement in the womb.

“All these years, I was thinking my ‘pee pee’ doesn’t work. Finally, we got a very long leg start,” he captioned the video.Omashola had marked the beginning of the year with the news of his proposal where he shared a video that suggested that he proposed to his girlfriend under the water.

Anthony Martial has agreed to join Sevilla on loan from Manchester United.

The 26-year-old will join the La Liga side – who will pay his wages in full – until the end of the season.

Martial will fly from Paris, where he is currently located, to Seville on Tuesday to undergo medical.

The forward always wanted to join Sevilla this month, despite interest from Juventus and Barcelona, because he believes that is where he will play the most.

There had been reports in December that Martial wanted to leave United in search of more game time.

Martial became the world’s most expensive teenager when he joined United from Monaco in 2015 and went on to score 79 times in 269 appearances for the club.

But he fell out of favour in the forward positions following the signings of Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho in the summer, as well as the emergence of Mason Greenwood.

Martial has started just four games for United this season and was accused by Ralf Rangnick, the club’s interim manager, of asking not to play in the 2-2 draw at Aston Villa on January 15.

The France international refuted his manager’s claim, and Rangnick later insisted the situation was “resolved”.

Following Saturday’s 2-2 draw at home to Celta Vigo, Sevilla are currently second in La Liga and just four points behind Real Madrid as they search for their first title since 1946.
