Osinbajo said PDP stole Nigeria’s money during its 16 years in power, hence must not be allowed to return in 2019.

He spoke at the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Door-To-Door-Campaign and flag off of the Professor Yemi Osinbajo, PYO, Support Group over the weekend in Lagos.

Osinbajo also stated that President Muhammadu Buhari will not allow people in power steal the country’s money.

He stressed that the difference between Buhari and other presidential candidates seeking office in 2019 was that he won’t steal money, while others are pushing for a return to power so as to steal money.


The Vice President stated that there are leaders who want to steal and those who want to use Nigeria’s money for the common good of citizens.

According to Osinbajo, Buhari belongs to those who want to use the country’s money for the common good.

He said: “We should not allow those who have stolen our money in the past to come back. They stole all the money and they want to come. People are saying, enough is enough.

“In four years, PDP spent 383 US dollars. And they want to come back. Sixteen years is enough.

“After 16 years of ensuring that the country did not make progress, they want to come back. They will never come back.”

After exhausting all means to placate some critical stakeholders in the party who are aggrieved owing to the fall-out of its controversial primaries, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has decided to wield the big stick on party members, especially state governors who are working against the interest of the party to achieve victory in 2019 general elections, Daily Independent has gathered. On the cards to be punished, according to a credible source, are Governors Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara, Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun, Rochas Okorocha of Imo and Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo, among others. The party leadership last month set up a reconciliation committee but majority of the governors refused to cooperate with members of the committee thereby foreclosing any chances of rapprochement. Speaking with Daily Independent on Thursday, a member of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) said Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the national chairman of the party will soon set up a disciplinary committee which will “look into the activities of some of the stakeholders especially some of the governors who are encouraging their supporters to join other parties.“I think the party has had enough of the governors and actions will be taken against them. Through their actions and utterances, they have shown utmost contempt for President Muhammadu Buhari who has done everything humanly possible to resolve the issue. They have also disregarded other national leaders such as Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and others.“The party leadership will in the coming days set up a disciplinary committee which will look into the activities of this men and make recommendations to the party. There is a need to sanitise the party, remove the bad eggs and reposition it ahead of the 2019 general elections”, he said. While speaking during the 2018 harvest and bazaar celebration at his Adoration Ground in Emene Enugu on Sunday, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, predicted doom’s day for President Muhammadu Buhari and Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, saying that none of them would win, without mentioning the eventual winner.
According to Vanguard, the fiery Catholic Priest and the Spiritual Director of the Adoration Catholic Prayer Ministry Enugu, said it was bad and scandalous before the Holy Spirit that after their prayers on Adoration altar made Buhari the President, he had refused to come and do a project for his ministry as a way of thanking God.
Angry Mbaka further narrated how his ministry’s prayers saved Buhari from deadly sickness in 2015 and said anybody with Buhari’s ears should warn him that no one cheats God, that after he thinks he is healthy, his sickness may come in another form.
Speaking on Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, Fr. Mbaka said that if he continued on the same trajectory, he and his running mate would end in shame.
Mbaka who spoke in Igbo, said: “Ask Atiku if it is these steps that the cow will take to reach Umuahia.”
Mbaka requested that Atiku should reach out to Igbo leaders like Hon. Ike Ekweremadu and also come personally to adoration ground and do a project for them.
He berated Atiku’s running mate, Peter Obi. Though he said they had always supported Obi, he stated that Obi had not done anything for his church.
He said God would bless Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State and grant them second term for what they had done for him.
Fr. Mbaka curiously withheld Obi’s blessing and said he would only release it after Obi had done a project for them. Using Umahi as an example, Mbaka said: “Umahi donated 1,000 bags of rice and 1,000 tubers of yam to us, but it meant nothing to me until he handed N10 million cheque to me and promised to build a project for the ministry. This is the type of gesture we require from Obi”, he said.
While acknowledging the donation of N500,000 from Obi as his money for breaking of kolanut, he said “stinginess is not a virtue.”

Contrary to reports that the United States has granted visa to the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, after 13 years ban, INDEPENDENT authoritatively reports that he was never given visa.

An embassy source told the news outlet that U.S. position on Atiku has not changed.

A family source also confirmed that Atiku only traveled to the UK and is also back in the country.

The family source said Atiku did not even apply for visa from the U.S. embassy as reported in the week.

The Federal Government fearing that the U.S. wanted to grant Atiku visa had cautioned that it would mean endorsing him for the 2019 election.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, gave the government position at an interactive session with media executives in Abuja on Thursday.

Mohammed had said that the government was aware of the move by the former Vice President to lobby the U.S. to lift the visa ban imposed on him.

He said, while the U.S. has the prerogative of whom to issue visa, it should be mindful of the timing, in order not to give the impression that Atiku has been endorsed by the U.S. government.

“We understand and appreciate the fact that it is the prerogative of the U.S. to grant a visa to anyone who applies.

“However, we want the U.S. to be neutral and be wary of taking any decision that will give the impression that they are favouring or endorsing one candidate over the other

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says its Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, possesses the qualities that Nigerians will use to determine who they will elect in the 2019 presidential election.

The President of the Senate and Director-General of PDP Presidential Campaign Council, Bukola Saraki, said this at a news conference in Abuja on Friday.

A resident of the area identified as Mr. Paul revealed that the lady was discovered on Tuesday morning after a security guard notified him.
