Noticed I couldn't register with my birthday.

I put a random date in June and registered and updated the date in the profile bit later.

x6sc00:
Hey guys did ECCTIS KICK Nigeria out of their website. I can’t logins. It keep saying please select the valid date of birth. The date of birth is already formatted there is no way it is wrong. After multiple attempts I decided to ask here if anybody is facing the same problem..

TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by gerrald02: 8:27pm On Mar 13, 2023
Tracking yes I got a tracking number on payment at the VFS.

you can track it once picked up by UPS via

https://www.ups.com/track?loc=en_NG&requester=ST/

I got mine next day.

spriteB:
Please how many days did it take UPS to deliver your passport from when VFS sent it out? Is there a way to track it with them?
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by gerrald02: 8:23pm On Mar 13, 2023
I added both countries to mine.

I stand to be corrected as a first timer but i shouldn't think so as itineraries and circumstances do change. Now i've got the visa i wish i can get 2 more days off work and some more money ill probably squeeze in 2 days in Italy and get out of my bucket list even though was not on original plans/countries declared.

hunee:
Hi Pufframmy, this question goes to you.
Remember the part of the application for france tourist visa that said if you be visiting any other member state , even if it is for a few hours.
You should state it, during your time. Did you put it?
I noticed alot of people would use NO, and later enter other member states as seen in respondents cases online.

Are there implications for this, especially if one eventually returns after visiting other states.

I need your inputs as an experienced person. Other contributions will be accepted for all to learn.

I also thought gerrald added it, that was why he included santori as part of itinerary.

I paid the visa fees via card.

hunee:
Going by your bio date
3/3/2023
I will like to confirm what mode of payment was accepted for visa fee at vfs, especially now that there is cash crunch.
Were there some concessions.
Please give details

pufframmy:
WOW u have a Good Canada Visa, they don't have choice than to issue you the visa
Yes it helped having it however as I mentioned previously I had been denied same twice and considering the quick return in of my passport I wasn't so confident since it is not automatic or guaranteed that one would get issued.

Thanks again everyone for your earlier contributions it helped. hopefully some one else would benefit from my experience.

As requested.

I had previous Schengen visa application rejected twice in 2016 not showing sufficient evidence of home ties.

Got Canada visa got in 2018.

Evidence submitted in this application is similar to those presented in earlier threads.

1. application form + photograph.
2. Passport + copy Previous visa page / passport.
3. Travel Itinerary showing my holiday plans in both countries for the 10days - hotel + tour activities ( tours listed but i didn't book) i planned to do (as alternative to booking a return ticket).
4. Employee letter confirming employment and approval of leave during the period.
5. 6 months bank statement and my account balance which i have been building up reflected I would be able to afford spending 120€ daily for the trip.
6. Travel insurance paid.
7. Hotel accommodation booked but not yet paid for.
8. Cover letter introducing myself and summarizing the documents submitted and travel plans.
9. Landed Property document
10. Marriage certificate.
11. Kids school report/fees paid.

Items 9 - 11 I added as supporting documents to demonstrate personal links to the country of residence which was the reason of refusal in previous application.

Apart from the visa fee, appointment fee the only other thing I had to pay prior was the travel insurance.

claremont: I have met many Eritreans and Ethiopians, but I'm yet to meet any who got married to a foreigner. They have extremely strong affiliations for their own culture, not much different from the Indians.
Wish i was aware because i did not expect such matters to be a stumbling block in this globalised world of today

Hello Nairalanders,

I wanted to find out is it true that ethiopians and eritreas do not marry foreigners especially west african?

I was planning on settling down and my parents when i saw them to ask for their blessings they approved the lady but kindly suggested that before i get heart broken i should know that they can date you but won't agree to settle and looking round in my community in Sweden and I realized that i haven't seen any married to non habisha.

Is it a coincidence or fact.

Any advice is welcomed.
