TravelRe: What Is The Thing That Made You Realize That Living In Nigeria Is Hard? by getaitrends: 6:52pm On Mar 02, 2025
A 2004 Toyota Corolla costs around N6 million now. How long will a N500k per month person save to buy the used version of a car manufactured 22 years ago?

Even when you aim to earn in dollars to beat the inflation, have you ever tried to get a remote job on the international market as a Nigerian? Unless you are a software developer, being a Nigerian means you likely have to be 10X more qualified before you are even considered.

Opportunities are available for everyone except Nigeria. Lol. This has caused a lot of young people to falsify locations using VPNs
It is a crazy reality.

Well, if you are interested in some unconventional ways to make money this year, we have a blog post on 50 Ways to Make Money in 2025. Click here to read.

Honestly, we hope that this is true. The cost of things in the market is getting out of hand. We shouldn't also blame those who doubt the impact of the government's policies. If it was 120k, and now 85k, does it make it affordable to people? While we want people to acknowledge that things are changing, we should also understand that to them, proof of change is when they can hold it in their hands and take it home without tears in their eyes.

Anyway, while we wait for the prices of things to fall completely, you should at least be able to negotiate and haggle prices well when you go to the market. We recently published a guide on how to price anything very well. If you have ever felt cheated after buying anything, you should read this.
