yarimo: Governors are gradually turning state high courts like state independent electoral commission It’s the federal might that is actually the problem . Call it abuse of power once its under the jurisdiction of the state government or state court , then power resides on who ever controls the state . Tell ganduje to stop dragging power with a state governor |

phemmyjohnson: In rivers , the appeal court nullified the state high court based on jurisdiction and everyone accepted since it favored the Abuja rat.
It's the jurisdiction of the Kano high court to rule over matters of traditional rulers and it did so but the same powers in Abuja refuse to accept this order from the only court that has jurisdiction over it .
Lol and someone will open mouth and tell me Nigeria will be better with these old fools in power Well said look at what this country is dragging for months ! Look at how they keep making sure there’s no hope for this country to be better. The same law that removed A , now cannot remove B |

InvertedHammer: / Nigerians shout democracy without understanding all the rudiments. They think that it ends with elections and casting of votes. Nigeria has no systemic foundation to support democracy.
The balance of power among the three arms of government and their oversights are clearly spelt out in US Constitution. But in Nigeria, the executive pockets everyone because the people are in positions they don't understand.
A former US President, Donald Trump is being dragged by a prosecutor under an equivalent of a local government. A sitting President's son has just been convicted in US. Can this happen in Nigeria? We are pretentious at best and quick to mouth off on catch words and phrases we read in textbooks. Nigeria is still under dictatorship. As a matter of fact, dictatorship and democracy is a matter of semantics in Nigeria.
Who is to blame? We are a people that's known to be delusional and who find comfort in living in denial / It always looks as if Nigerians are are all living with dementia ! We don’t think critically and after all this happened , it will still repeat itself again and again because no single scape goat among the judges and executives have been dealth with for trying to manipulate the legal framework of the country |

Why they see us as animals is because, government will build toilets, provide water, but d black man go still open yansh shit for outside, they see us as animals because, we are comfortable seeing children begging on d streets during sch hours.... They see us as animals because, mad men and women roam the streets with us and even offer people like peter obi advice.... It’s certain we can’t rule ourselves . Don’t you ever think if the whites are ruling us till now if things won’t have changed in this country to a certain level ? |

ElevationD: Hm.
Well said by Mr. Falana, SAN. Both cases are worsened by several litigations or undue interference by the courts. That if Rivers state is very clear, in that there was a Supreme Court ruling on that in 2012. How the courts want to set us back is unbelievable.
In all, we just wait to see how they all play out. Like they are not even hiding the illegalities again ! Like challenging what the Supreme Court has ruled on ! The confidence is what bothers me now ! This country might never get it right again . |

Coolsperm: Tinubu have brought total confusion in the country Hello sir please make me understand if extension of a office holder is illegal and even state assembly cannot extend such for the LGA! Please tell me the audacity the chairmen have to stand that they cannot leave knowing that the Supreme Court already ruled that extension of a political office holder is illegal .. Then they started causing troubles and the Nigerian police is standing to say they must wait for appeal court decision ? On what Supreme Court already declared impossible ? 😂 Lol omg what a country |

OriOko88:
There's no judiciary any more. Infact there's no single arm of govt that's working or active. Both the judiciary and legislative hv been pocketed by the executive.
Is it the docile CJN that's busy following the president everywhere commissioning roads in Abuja that will control the judges under him, or challenges the executive anti people policy'??
Two different judges giving conflicting judgement over same issue, and the NJC abi NjO remain silent and also confused. Kudos to the US supreme Court. That's an example of a working institution. I pray in my next life, I come as a Yoruba boy of America decent or a Dutch. I mean the NJC remain silent and watch judges entertain matters they don’t have jurisdiction over ? And someone is telling me not to leave this country ? |
