Its just so frustrating been placed on administrative review without knowing how long it takes. The long process at USCIS and NVC stages was enough to kill and now going on Administrative review is torturing. If it was possible for me and my spouse to have spent enough time together he would have done it but his present situation won't make that possible which i explained to the CO but she insisted on putting our case on AP, the whole situation is affecting my spouse's health and i don't want something bad to happen. Am sorry for ranting, i just can't hold my emotions.

We did submitted the contact sheet on Friday and we didn't receive any email telling us of any further step. Please ma kindly help us check if the contact sheet has been added to our case. LGS2014643058. Please ma, am sure if you take a look at our file you will be able to tell us the next step or give us an estimate of how long we have to wait.

Lizzy pls call me...i lost all my contacts cos my fone was faulty, thanks.

Hello VO Ma, I went for my IV interview today 7th of NOV and was interviewed by the IO, i got all the questions to her satisfactions....she asked for records of communication through out duration of courtship and i gave her the one i got from 2011 till date, also gave her some recent pictures aside our wedding ones after she offered me this Letter. Here is a copy of the letter which stated thus:

Dear Visa Applicant:
You may return at such time that you have all requested materials. When you are ready, you should email LagosIVscheduling@state.gov.You will then be notified of your appointment date via email.

The subject line must follow this format: 221(g) appointment for applicant"s name and case number. The case number is listed on this letter.

The Bidy of the email should include any dates that you Prefer,Appointments are held on Monday through Thursday(except Nigerian and US public Holiday) at 1:00pm

Pls return with:

1)Records of communication throughout duration of relationship
2)Recent pictures of you and the petitioner that are not wedding pictures

Availability is limited and wait times var. You will be notified of your appointment date via email

sincerely

American Consular Officer

My questions are:

1)If i can be able to get the records of communication and recent pictures, Would i be the one to tell the consular when i am free for an interview?
2)Can i get the Interview reschedule next week once all documents are intact

Thanks Ma

VisaOfficer:

In general, as soon as an officer approves a case, we issue the visa. That's because we don't approve cases until we're ready to issue. However, in some rare cases, the cut-off date for the visa category changes while we're processing a case, and we can't issue the visa until the case becomes current again. The worst part is that the computer doesn't alert us until we're actually trying to print the visa, so the beneficiaries have already gone home thinking that their visas will be ready in a week. It's frustrating for us and even more frustrating for the beneficiaries!

It usually only takes a few months for the dates to catch up again, but no guarantees. You can always check cut-off dates at http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/law-and-policy/bulletin.html .

ok thanks Ma

It's a problem. As the confirmation page itself states in big red letters: "YOU MUST BRING the confirmation page and the following document(s) with you at all steps during the application process..." We really, really need you to bring the confirmation page with you.

Thanks Ma, i just got it sent to me.

Just be ready to tell the truth. For obvious reasons, we don't publish lists of what questions we ask. In fact, we don't even have a list. Every case is different.

Thanks sir

The combination of high demand and limits set by law on the number of people that can immigrate in a year means you might have to wait for several years,so I am not able to reel that out off hand.Of course you can track the status of your application on the USCIS website.

Thanks so much Gbenge, name sake.

Gbenge 77: Filing an I-130 petition for you means you might have to wait for several years before it is approved. But when she becomes a citizen, you qualify to join her immeadiately, and do not have to join a wait line.Either ways, you are not able to be issued with a tourist visa as evidenced by your immigrant intentions, considering your I-130 petition.
like how many years would take before the approval of an I-130?
Travel / Re: Usa Visit Visa by ggeorge: 6:53pm On Apr 06, 2013
Gbenge 77: If your wife is a Legal permanent resident,it would be extremely difficult to pay her a visit,as you might not be able to overcome the burden of proof contained in section 216B.Co's are usually not able to trust that one can "visit" one's spouse and return. The truth is that you might have to wait until she becomes a citizen(Usually after 5 years on a Green card) and files for you, before you are able to visit her or immigrate. This is usually the case. When was she issued with a green card?
although she has already filed for me this year with her permanent green card..she was issued 2010

If you were to be interviewed on your credentials as a graduate, what they would like to see is your degree cert and GRE not necessarily TOEFL.
Ok imperiouxx...thanks so much bro for d advice.
