I'm of a minority tribe. I find it difficult to understand the perennial tribal bashing here instead of addressing the topic. Covid 19 lockdown exposed so much. When are we going to learn. Traders are complaining of excessive taxation/levies and it's relegated to the waste bin, whilst bigotry takes the front row.
In a forum like this, someone should be able to educate us on the legitimacy of the levies, the status of the market leader in our laws. Whether or not she's an agent of the State government etc. The measure by which the levies are calculated and so on..... I have gone through the pages, I am still in the dark on the object of the levies and the legality of it and where it goes OR it's purpose!

BTW, I applaud /emulate what IS GOOD in other cultures. I particularly like/commend the Igbo apprenticeship scheme of service for agreed years and reward at the end. It has definitely set the Igbo youths ahead of their peers from other tribes. They are thus, very skilled in trading. My tribesmen are heady and can't stay under any tutelage for that long to get rewarded! Other tribes can learn from this system of education, as we now have a crop of youths with entitlement mentality. If they can't extort you, they steal, blackmail or kidnap you. The ones struggling to eek out a living on the streets or their shops should not be emasculated by opaque taxation a la levies. Covid 19 plague is an eye opener. Everyone was for himself (save for a few handed sachets of food stuffs) during the lockdown. Nairalanders, we need to call a spade a spade.

See baba forget about the social vices, bcs we all know that each zone has its own social vices. Lets continue from where we stopped. See all through my working days I prefer working with Afonjas, I know my reasons. They can easily be manipulated, in the midst of that manipulation an Afonja can never ever raise an eyebrow. (Remember what brought this augment, the exhobitant fee) u can manipulate or intimidate an OSU, unless that OSU has Afonja blood but a blooded OSU can never be intimidated whether outside his territory or within.
Then, I volunteered for 8 good months, if I start telling u why an average Afonja is a nuisance this nairaland forum will crash. The volunteering area was onn domestic violence, child abuse and child abandonment.
I saw a lot, an Afonjas idiot will be drinking his life without doing anything and he will be waiting for his wife to hawk agbo and feed and same time Bleep him. See baba, let's not wash ourselves out, pls let's stop here. Thank u

The North is very straight forward, just like the Igbo man.

If we dont like u, we make it clear.

Yoruba is like a green snake under the green grass.

If Nigeria was just Igbo and Hausa even fulani, either we make it work or we fight, go our separate way by now. no long ting.

Cite one Book I can consult today where I can see that there was a time in history when Zik became the drafter of the constitution. Stop spewing these old wives tales. The real opportunity for Oduduwa nation came in 1967 when the Biafran troops matched on Ore with a view not to conquer South West but to liberate that region from the grip of Hausa Fulani domination. What did Awolowo do, he ran to Gowon to stop the liberation movement at Ore, he was rewarded with a Ministerial position, imagine Awolowo stooped low and became a Minister in a government of young Hausa-Fulani military officers that were then barely educated enough to write their names well. . Till today the South West and the rest of the South have remained subservient to the North because South West could not summon courageous to secede when the agitation was still fresh and young in the entire South. Today you want to blame Zik for removing secession clause from which constitution if I may ask. I don't have any single problem with south West other than that I find then always going against the collective interest of the whole South always to please the same Hausa Fulani guys over their Southern neighbours who have never been a threat to their existence.

When I was at aba last year, I listened to Nnamdi Kanu and I finally realized the truth even though I knew that the country was in a mess. How he gets what he uncovers is still what baffles me and tbh, I believe that the pple that are giving him the news are from the ASO villa in power play. God will give the IGBOs their BIAFRA as long as GOD liveth.

The truth is that a lot of igbos have given up on Nigeria and it’s getting to a critical mass.

Nigerian government plan is to pull out the igbo presidency card to deceive gullible igbos.

If that doesn’t work,

Then they will pull out the fake restructuring card.

The younger igbo generation have completely lost patience for Nigeria.

I see Facebook comments. I see twitter comments. I see YouTube comments.

Nigerian unity or whatever is left of it is gone in the minds of the younger generation.

Nigeria is an incredible place. A place where IPOB that is only carrying flag is a terrorist group but Fulani herdsmen that are carrying AK47 are not a terrorist group

That's why they refused to move the other thread to front-page. They don't want their Taqiyya (Lies) exposed. Only PATHOLOGICAL LIARS WILL DENY THE ONGOING GENOCIDE AGAINST CHRISTIANS BY FULANI MILITIAS WITH TACTICAL SUPPORT FROM BUHARI'S FULANI REGIME.
Anyway, IPOB should continue their good works. Those who desire peace and freedom from terrorists savages from futajalon are solidly behind them.
Indeed Nnamdi Kanu knew it all: I will destroy Nigeria with the Truth.
ONE NIGERIA DOES NOT EXIST!

Bloody tribalist!!! But it's cool to be a citizen of Germany after 8yrs as a black African with similar privilege with the whites, but, after staying in Lagos State which is your country for over 30yrs you can be told to pack and go

How do people like you reason?
How do you sleep at night?
Oh ye bloody tribalistic bigots, I wonder how you reason.

People like you have never stepped out of your state let alone country so you are bound to shallow bigotic reasoning. Not your fault.
