And we have an equalizer.. Thank God.
Now, it's time to push harder, in order to score the winner. In the meantime, we must have our box put under lock, to prevent further humiliation from the opponent team.

Please, what is wrong with Moses, for goodness sake.
He's been killing the tempo of the game, and ruining our chances.
You get a good ball, and instead of moving along with it at a fast pace, and being creative about it, he rather prefer slowing down, giving the opponents ample time to regroup and secure their territory. It's just pathetic how fast and easily we lose possession of the ball.

We aren't creating chances, no shot on goals, no creativity, our forwards are doing bad job.

Our goalkeeper has been good, and defence has been fairly better than it was in our last game, but without making attempts, there is no way we could net the ball, which could ruin our chance of qualifying. On the other hand, the Icelandic team has been good, and creative with the ball, making good of every opportunity and chance they get with the ball; armed with this amount of creativity and determination, I guess it's just a matter of time for them to..... I'm afraid - score us.

I just hope the coaching team will do their job talking senses into their heads, and if there is a need for suitable subs to be made, to bring on some positive energies into the team, that would lead to the actualization of the needed change and results, so be it.
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Croatia: World Cup - 0 - 2 On 16th June 2018 by ghettodreamz(m): 10:39pm On Jun 16, 2018
We ruined our chances.

We played the first half of the game with little to no zeal, enthusiasm, confidence on the ball, passion, and determination to win. The lack of zeal or passion could be seen boldly written all over the team's captain's face from the onset, same player who one would expect to be the livewire and the cheerleader for the rest of the team members, to ginger them to a victory.

No doubt, our midfield is another source of great concern, absolutely nothing to write home about. No strong linkage and coordination with the forwards. In fact, the formation wasn't right, just plainly chaotic. Playing only Ighalo in the forefront wasn't a good decision for us; for one, I don't even think he ought to have started the game.

If only we had started the first half with the kind of zeal we saw in the last 15-20 minutes of the game, perhaps the result would have been written differently.

Croatia isn't a strong team, if they were, then one would have expected more goals and dominations from their side, in the first half of the game. Peradventure, if we had not foolishly and carelessly conceded the own goal, the game could have resulted into a goalless draw. Maybe!

Excerpt from Post-Match interview with John Mikel Obi, he was heard repeatedly saying "We gave our best by playing as a team.. It's a very difficult game". That alone, means, they couldn't do more than they have just done, and by implication, we shouldn't expect more than just that level of performances(s) from them as a team. I doubt if this would go down well with over 180 millions, football-loving Nigerians, home and abroad.

If this is the BEST team Nigeria can boast of at the moment, then it means the NFA aren't doing their job well. We need to let go politics in team selection, and try more home-based players (those who are going to play their heart out in competing for a place in the national team), by doing some grassroot scouting for talents, nurture and groom them into stars that we would be proud of someday, to represent us at international football campaigns.

Now, we will be meeting Argentina/Iceland, and I doubt if the Argentines aren't gonna have the best of the game. They played so well against another good side - the Icelandic team, to a draw. I wouldn't be surprised if they both emerged victors, evicting us and the Croatian team out of the group stage.

Woeful performance as usual

Please someone should remind me again, how much is the FG wasting on these bunch to represent us in Russia 2018?

This is not the Suger Eagles we used to know growing up... Perhaps it would be better to withdraw these boys while we allow the Lobi Stars to represent us instead. It's pathetic and humiliating that we couldn't score a goal in the match, even though that could have ended a draw or a worse case scenario, a defeat . huh embarassed embarassed cry cry

what if this is a tactics by the super eagles, to play like they are unprepared and then shock the world in the world cup games proper.

think about that.
Tactics kor....Tackle ni.. cheesy grin
I guess they are the only team with the BEST tactics; hence, the reason they don't wanna put it up for display now, until they face their real opponents in the tournament. Right? Yinmu undecided
