A friend of mine fell for SIM swap fraud two years ago (not platform specific). Since then I lock my SIM and enable biometrics on every app. Truthfully the app can only protect you so much.

For electricity payments, I’ve tried a few different apps and they generally work reliably. The experience is usually similar across platforms once you get used to the process.
