AutosRe: 2000-2001 Honda Cr-v Jeep For Sale ( Used ) by giftedmind: 2:15am On Jan 15, 2012
Well, someday, somewhere, somehow, trust will be part of our character. A day when one will see an advert and pay upfront like the other contributor. We will get there. This forum has been very educative to me. I came across some useful advise and adverts here that makes me feel the contributors to this forum have gone beyond ordinary men/women. I lost some opportunities here not because I doubted the vendor but because when they came there was no money to back the demand. Viperman, what ever it is that went wrong with the other guy, its wisdom to solve problems beautifully to its logical conclusion. Two wrongs cannot make a right. Let open a new leave and start writing good and fresh things on it. All the best to all the senators of this forum,

Patience and good luck are the key words if you want to breed and make good money in animal husbandry. Some of us are so much in a hurry to 'hammer' like we usually say in Naija. This is not 419 or cocaine, it is a legitimate way to make it and thus u must go through the process. I agree with the comment of 7070. Staggers last sentence also make sence. You also get a cold room to store the meet and sell in your own meat shop. Most of us neglect businesses that are not flashy but that is where the pay is. The bottom line is;lets not leave this business alone, lets try our best. I assure who ever want to listen that the end result is worth the stress.case close. a word is enough for the wise. Our country is a blessed country. You only see that if you look inward.cheers1

So, as a people, we need not chicken out bec someone is talking of an unfounded mafia in the cattle business. why are we educated in the first place? There is nothing wrong in taking a risk by trying. i commend the effort of the excorper that contributed earlier however, he chickened out too early. Me i have decided to go into the business and have gotten some plots of land somewhere in Jos. I will make it, thats sure. join me guys! in my second text, i mean to write herd and not heard.error regretted.

Today, very rich, educated and well to do nigerians are quietly into this business. All you need is a land. atleast 3 plot upwards depending on the size of your heard. Water supply is important and you need to fence the property. If you are lucky to find a land with a year round water supply, thank your star. it is advised that you look for it if you can to reduce the overhead cost. Your purpose for keeping the cattle is also important. Is it to increase stock, for quick cash (fattening and disposing) or for milk production? You need to know what you are out for. If it is for the first, then you must source for your bull carefully. Your bull must be healthy. Atleast a bull to bw 30-50 females would be ok. Do not keep more than a bull otherwise they fight and one gets killed. If its for fattening, you can get cows during the dry season at cheap prices and then fatten them to gain good weight before disposal for cash. You need a vet to check them once in a while. Within 3 months, you could be disposing and getting a new stock. Milk production goes hand in hand with the first reason.

I am reporting into this progressive forum for the first time. However, i have been following events once in a while. Now this cow business thing. I dont think the contributors on this issue has done justice to the topic. Firstly, may we discard the issue of illiteracy or literacy here. For you to make impact on anything in life you must take the pain to make research. Most useful information about keeping animals are available online. So we should not restrict out scope to the man in the Norther Nig. Let leave that to confirmatory periods. That apart, cow business i have tried on skeletal level but i want to tell this progressive forum that it is worth going into. I kept 3 cows in 2006 (1 year old each) which i bought bw 20k-25k.I gave them to a fulani man who kept them 4 a year before i soldthem for cash. I got tripple the money i used to buy them.
