overhypedsteve:
our country is at war. All those found guilty of stealing money meant for the equipping and the welfare of troops should be seen as traitor saboteurs and they should be executed as a lesson. We live for impunity in Nigeria, somebody have to be made a scape goat. Saboteurs should pay the ultimate price for allowing this war lag on for this long. How can you use the money meant for buying quality APC's to protect young men fighting for the nations peace, you just rationalize inside your sitting room and say "wetin those people wan use that kind expensive motor do?" Abeg make I buy more hilux. Then you buy more soft skinned vehicles. The soldiers will happily accept them, they are not used to demanding too much from their Father land, they may even think if the money was there for a better platform it would have been supplied. They will ride in those soft skinned vehicle to their death. Then the big belle Oga will be invited to honor their burial ceremony were he may be called upon to speak on the young men bravery, it is not even like the money is going to be spent on something tangible self, the polithieves may just use the money to add another Porsche to his collection or send his kids on a trip to Dubai. I used to say we have some of the most unpatriotic disgruntled elements at the helms of affair but now I think we are a nation that is suffering a series of misfortune to always have animals in power who do not care more about the national interest as they care about their wives and kids spending the weekend in Dubai shopping.

Romance › Re: Here Are 10 Things A Guy MUST Do After A First Date If He Want A Second One by giles14(m): 1:20pm On Nov 28, 2015
360ng:
Consider this a second-date guarantee.

So you went out with somebody and you thought she was absolutely amazing. She was the hottest, sexiest woman of the moment. So, how do you ensure getting a second date and capitalizing on the heels of a great first date?

Here are 10 dating tips that are almost guaranteed to get you that second date:

1. Ask her out at the end of the first date for a second date.

When asking her out at the end of the date, be sure to ask her to do something she told you during the date she finds exciting.

For example, if she likes Mexican food, tell her you know the best Mexican restaurant in town and you want to bring her there Tuesday night. Set that second date up so she doesn’t have time to think about the first date, and so she has something to which to look forward.

2. Text her or call her the very next day.

Either text her a simple message that says “Had a great time last night. ... Looking forward to the next time.” Or, call her and leave a message and tell her the same thing over the phone. Don't try to be coy by waiting a day or two to follow up.

3. Don’t expect sex or force the issue of sex until it's right for both parties.

Take things slow and enjoy getting to know each other. There are no rules about when to have sex for the first time with a new potential partner. You’re both adults, and if a woman decides that she doesn’t want to have sex with you for a month, respect her! Or, if a woman decides she wants to have sex with you on the first date, respect that decision too!

When you do have sex, make sure that the two of you handle it like adults and not like children.

4. Be positive and fun when you’re out with her on a date.

Don’t bash your exes. Don’t complain about all the things that are wrong in your life. Spend time getting to know each other’s good sides.

5. Listen to your date.

Question things that don’t sound right. Have a two-sided conversation instead of talking at her.

Most men tend to want to impress women based on their accomplishments. Women enjoy getting to know a man based on what’s inside. So spend time listening and having a conversation instead of bragging about yourself. The less you brag, the more interested she will be!

6. When out with your date, do not check out other women in front of her.

Do this, and you’ll never get another date with her again.

7. Compliment her once about the way she looks.

Don’t tell her all night long how beautiful she is, because she will start to think that you’ve never before been out with a woman as beautiful as her, and you’ll start to lose your intrigue.

8. Instead of complimenting her looks, compliment her mind.

Bond with her mentally and emotionally and physically, and she will bond with you in ways that you’ve never experienced before!

9. Don’t agree with everything she says.

Challenge her mind — don’t just agree with her. If you agree with everything she says, she’ll look at you as being weak. If she sees you as being weak, she will no longer be attracted to you and you will no longer get a second look or a second date.

I’m not telling you to be confrontational. I’m telling you to be open, honest and real.

10. Once you’ve secured the second date, and the second date is successful, you need to set up an “activity date” for date number three, e.g., take her to the park, go to the beach, or take your dogs for a long walk.

Do things that cause her to picture the two of you as a couple. Dates should be creative, not boring. Sitting there and swapping stories over dinner tends to get monotonous after date number one, so start creatively planning different dates so the two of you can start to get to know each other in a very different manner.

Follow some of these tips, and I will assure you that you will get past that first date far more than you have in the past.

Christianity Etc › Re: The Secret Of The Rosary by giles14(m): 11:11pm On Nov 24, 2015
ApostleSylver:
The use of the Rosary is a common exercise among a large number of Christians, especially among the Roman Catholics. I wish to establish a vital point here, this point is that the truth revealed here are strictly (and only) scriptural based; it is not based on prejudice, dogma, denominational doctrine or hearsay (i.e Rev this or that said) & hence not targeted at any group but meant to edify every reader, and therefore is not posted for any purpose of argument. Every comments, suggestions, questions or perhaps arguments must be backed up with at least 2 scriptures that explains your claim. Every point is treated objectively, no sentiments, being one of the basic problem we have in Christendom.
FOCAL TEXT: "No soldier when in service gets entangled in the enterprises of [civilian] life; his aim is to satisfy and please the one who enlisted him. And if anyone enters competitive games, he is not crowned unless he competes lawfully (fairly, according to the rules laid down (2Timothy 2:4-5)"

Any point raised quoting any man other than the Almighty God, Christ Jesus, the Prophets and Apostles documented in the Bible is very irrelevant and must not be used seeing that the Bible is the ultimate check for Truth and Christian practices. Below are some reasons to quit the Rosary:

1. Mother Mary is called the Queen of heaven according to a Roman Catholic book called 'More about Fatima'. In that book, the unbiblical lady Fatima (the acclaimed Blessed Mary), maintained that she is the queen of heaven. God calls honouring the queen of heaven idolatry in Jeremiah 7:16-20

2. Prayer to any saint or angelic being (Mother Mary or Angel Mommon) as a mediator to Christ and Christ to God and the term "Mother of God" is unscriptural as revealed in John 14:6, Acts 4:12

3. The Bible foretold the times which we are in when men shall preach personal convictions, themselves, logics and unscriptural doctrines having been deceived by demons and voices in appearances as angel of light as found in Colossians 2:21-22, 2Timothy 3:1-8, 1Timothy 4:1-3. (Note that neither Christ nor the Apostles instituted the use of the Rosary).

4. God had never approved the use of images, objects or any kind of articles and even material vessels for worship in the new testament church, neither Chaplet nor Cross as seen in Exodus 20:4-5, 1Corinthians 6:13-17,19-20.

5. The virgin conception of Mary, blessed is she, does not imply an establishment of paternity, partnership or kingdom between The Father, the Holy Spirit and St. Mary; rather it is for a sign as seen in Isaiah 7:14. Again, Christ Jesus while on calvary tree saw St. Mary, the Blessed, and John, and said, "woman behold your son. And to John he said 'behold your mother as seen in John 19:25-27. In other words, Jesus meant to say, "woman, your son is John not me; for I came to die and exactly this have I done as you can see for yourself".

6. Blessed Mary, the said initiator of the Rosary claims no right with Christ. She calls Him LORD or MASTER. And Christ in turn calls her WOMAN and strictly frowns at anyone, for every single moment, that esteems Him as the son of Joseph and Mary as seen in Matthew 12:47-50, John 2:4

7. Christ Jesus gave a prayer guideline as seen in Matthew 6:9-13, Luke 11:1-6. In this guideline of prayer the things recited in Rosary were (and are) neither mentioned nor included.

8. The Rosary or anything spelt ROSARY is not found anywhere in the Holy Bible; neither the glorious apparitions nor the chaplet. Don't quote history that is not documented in the Bible. Moreso, it wasn't Blessed Mary that was recommended by Christ Jesus to be remembered throughout generations, though she would be, but the woman who ministered oil on him, most likely Mary Magdalene, the same way He didn't ask that His birth be celebrated at all (call it chrismas), but His death as seen in Mark 14:9, Luke 22:9, 1Corinthian 11:34-25 respectively. These matters are been disobeyed because of man's institution and the ignorance of many people, especially Christians.

9. Holy angels do not accept any slightest sort of worship, neither do they accept to be prayed to nor take responsibility for it and hence, it is unscriptural to say that the accurate and complete recitation of the Rosary will cleanse, cover or outweigh the user's sin and other such promises as we have been taught. Read Revelation 22:8-9,18-19.

10. I read a story from the book, The Wonders of the Rosary. In this book, the story told of an evil, notorious and ungodly king who wore the Chaplet as adornment: the finger rosary on his finger, chaplet on wrist, neck and waist. He died, as the story told, and was however justified by Mary who weighed the King's atrocities on one side of a scale and his religious adornments on the other and found that his gadgets outweighed his sins. Is this scriptural? BIG LIE! Read Galatians 6:7, 1Timothy 4:1.

11. Still in the same book, The Wonders of the Rosary, there were many accounts where the images of Mary, the said initiator of the Rosary, performed many wonders like speaking and appearing to people, mysterious killing and death of any Reverend Father or Priest who dare to preach against instituting it into the church for general worship, Her images weeping and a times talking, the healing of sick people in some hospitals where Her images were kept... Did not the bible foretold of the Antichrist that will do wonders through images by giving it life? Read Revelation 13:15, 2Corinthian 11:14.

12. Do we have 2 mediators in heaven or has Blessed Mary taken the place of Christ in the job? We were taught as Roman Catholics that we don't worship Mary but that we adore her and, as many times as possible, pray to her to plead our case with Christ who pleads with The Father. Howbeit, we were neither taught that whoever we say our prayers to is our god, nor taught that adoration is also a form of worship. Christ frankly said that every prophet, Shepherd or mediator that came before Him or that will come after Him are never the true or everlasting mediator except Himself as seen in John 10:8, Matthew 24:23-24.

13. Did GOD, the Father and creator, instruct us to listen to Prophetess Mary, Blessed Fatimas, Queen of the heavens or to HIS son prophesied of throughout the scriptures? Of course, HE chose Christ, not the Blessed Mary, as His Voice in the endtime church as found in Mark 9:7, Hebrew 7:21-22

14. The introduction of the Rosary came approximately 1500 year after the Bible have been completed and confirmed. Remember that God, the Father, never allowed the scriptures to be compiled until all the books that made up the Holy Bible were gathered unaltered. God safely kept the following books of the Bible: Ezra, Ruth, Nehemiah, Esther, some parts of Jeremiah, Daniel among nations like Egypt, Medes, Persian, and Babylon; and HE gathered the various books that made up the book of Psalms. GOD, also, safely preserved and made delivery of the book of Revelation written as far into the S-Western, the Island of Patmos by John, the beloved. If HE wanted the rosary included into the Bible, couldn't HE have done it? Read Hebrew 10:15-29,38.

15. The Bible testifies of Christ Jesus right from Genesis till the last Chapter of the book of Revelation, nothing that lengthy was written or prophesied of Mary, especially after the birth of Christ. In the book of Revelation, John the beloved mentioned her as it was revealed to him about what transpired in the spirit realm when Christ was born. How the devil, the red dragon, wanted to kill Christ using Herod but couldn't because God's hand took Him. And God sent Mary to a safe land. Now can we find any 3 other accounts of the Blessed Mary's role in the salvation of mankind except the birth of christ? Revelation 12:1-9,11, Ecclesiastic 9:8

16. The events that surrounded the apparition and preceding introduction of the Rosary through a Reverend Father's encounter and that of the 3 Shepherd kids that sealed it as written in Catholic encyclopedia had been foretold through prophet Ezekiel. And God frowned at it; He called it idolatry and abomination IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD, not elsewhere but right in the Church, as seen in the book of Ezekiel 8:7-16.

17. Sometimes, our priest and teachers argue that just as the bronze serpent God asked Moses to mold and lift up in the wilderness is symbolic, so also is the using of religious objects like the chaplet and reciting of the Rosary. I learnt in later years that our teachers were wrong. They had limited knowledge of the scriptures and consequentially taught us the wrong message. They perhaps didn't dare to study the Bible for themselves but abode in what they were taught or just maybe, they are afraid of a whole change from their usual practices that may look like beginning their lives all over again. Either ways, I learnt that the bronze serpent is the similitude of Christ's crucifixion as prophesied in the book of Hosea and documented in the gospel when Jesus said, "if the son of man be lifted up as Moses did the bronzen serpent in the wilderness, He shall draw souls unto himself". This, notwithstanding, God moved King Hezekiah to destroy the bronze serpent because the people adore it and pray to it. When he did so, GOD, the Father was pleased as seen in 2kings 18:1-4. This means that God began to see that Bronze Serpert as idolatrous. Could HE not just have consider the Rosary idolatrous seeing that the spirit behind it is unscriptural...

18. The LORD GOD, Jehovah yaweh, the father of our Lord Jesus Christ and Creator of all, is a JEALOSE God. To please Him will mean to do all things His way, no less no more. If it were not so, and if it is not worth so, the likes of King James, Martin Luther, John Knox, Foxe, the historian preacher and other ex-Roman Catholic priests and brethren who lead the protestant Reformation wouldn't have died fighting. They became martyrs because they saw the Rosary and Celibacy as SINFUL as they're unbiblical. Read Exodus 20:5b, 1Timothy 4:1-6, Revelation 21:8.

19. Furthermore, remember that after Aaron, the priest molded the calf, he said to the people, "Israel, behold your God who brought you out of Egypt". Note that he didn't mentioned any other god but God that saved them. This means that he had only THEIR God, the God who appeared to Moses and their fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and perhaps Aaron may have had a vision of Christ as the Calf of God instead of been the Lamb of God. This must mean that any misrepresentation with the right motives has a penalty and equal to damnation. So Moses asked, "WHO IS ON THE LORD'S SIDE?" Exodus 32:1-26

20. Finally, what differentiates a Christian praying with the chaplet and reciting the Rosary from a Muslim praying with his dhikr, a chaplet-like prayer bead? Nothing, seeing that they take the same or similar posture, do recitation, standing, kneeling and eventually bowing. Where is my honor, asks the LORD? Malachi 1:6

As seen in Numbers 21:8-9, 2King 18:1-4, God may have used these things, the apparitions, the Rosary, to cause healing against apostasy in those years but today, "THEY HAVE BECOME IDOLATROUS IN HIS EYES". Keep off!!!
"What agreement [can there be between] a temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God; even as God said, I will dwell in and with and among them and will walk in and with and among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. So, come out from among [unbelievers], and separate (sever) yourselves from them, says the Lord, and touch not [any] unclean thing; then I will receive you kindly and treat you with favor. And I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty" (2Corinthians 6:16-18AMPV).

Don't be King Agrippa, who instead of believing, accepting and practicing the truth simply entertained his intellect as seen in:
"Then Agrippa said to Paul, You think it a small task to make a Christian of me [just offhand to induce me with little ado and persuasion, at very short notice] (Acts 26:28AMPV)"
"Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian (Acts 26:28KJV).
bros dey are many unconverted I souls, Muslim's alone are 1.6billion and rising go cast your net der n leave the Catholic Church alone,

Definition of C2 does NOT include datalink. C2 is simple as ABC, commands by a commander communicated to troops under his control.

C2 is simply command and control, buy you guys try to make it look like a nuclear weapon.

Datalink is not C2, it is data sharing among connected receivers. It does not see the battlefield. Modern C2 involves seeing the battle space real-time and Nigeria has that capacity. DHQ watched and commanded operations live video real time relayed to C2 in Abuja during the final offensive on Sambisa forest. We posted that report here early this year.

Show us the C2 equipment that SANDF has which Nigeria does not have.

Operation UNICORD

The Operation UNICORD (July 2 – July 12, 1967) was an offensive launched by the Nigerian Army at the beginning of the Nigerian Civil War. It involved the capture of 6 major Biafran towns near their northern border.

Background

When Nigeria became an independent state in October 1960 the newly formed government consisted mainly of northern politician from the Hausa-Fulani ethnic group. Early on the Nigerian government became corrupt with various politicians swindling public funds and rigging votes. By 1965 the Nigerian government became so corrupt that uprisings against the government sprang up all across Nigeria with various politicians attempting to gain more power. This resulted in rioting and mass arrests in the cities of Lagos and Ibadan. The politician Obafemi Awolowo was falsely blamed for causing the riots and was sentenced to 10 years in a Nigerian prison. All of the chaos that occurred in the political ralm gave was to the 1966 Nigerian coup d'etat in which 11 senior politicians were killed by mainly Igbo soldiers led by the Army Major Emmanuel Ifeajuna. The Nigerian Prime Minister Abubakar Balewa was one of the 11 politicians assassinated during the coup of January 15. Nzeogwu's soldiers were forced to retreat to Kaduna after General Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi was able to assemble a force of soldiers in Lagos to combat the rebellious soldiers. Ironsi was made Supreme Commander of Nigeria on January 16, 1966 and became the first Igbo head of state in Nigerian history. many northern generals and politicians were angry at Ironsi for two reasons, because he did not execute Major Nzeogwu and because he was giving more and more political power to southern politicians. On July 29, 1966 Ironsi was assassinated by mutinous soldiers which included William Walbe after they wrestled command from Theophilus Danjuma and installed Colonel Yakubu Gowon as Head of State. The counter-coup resulted in the 1966 anti-Igbo pogrom and caused the brutal massacre of 50,000 Igbo civilians living in various northern cities such as Kano and Kaduna. These massacres angered many Igbo civilians and a inadvertently led to easterns calling for secession. Ojukwu met with President Gowon in Aburi, Ghana in December 1966 to discuss the situation that was occurring in Nigeria. An apparent vote was held by a consultative assembly appointed by Ojukwu, and they approved of a secession of a secular Igbo state. However, it must be said that from all indications the decision to secede had already been made around late 1966 by Ojukwu and his closest confidants which included Louis Chude-Sokei, Christopher Okigbo, and the very influential CC Mojekwu. On May 30, 1967 Ojukwu officially seceded the Eastern Region and proclaimed the new Republic of Biafra. Ojukwu managed to assemble a 3,000 man guerrilla force to defend Biafra's front lines. In early July 1967 Nigerian President Gowon ordered the Nigerian Army high command to regain control of the Eastern Region.

Battle

On July 2, 1967 the Nigerian Army opened its offensive operations from the Northern sector. The First Area Command NA, supported by an artillery brigade consisting of scorpion tanks, saladin armored cars, and ferrets was divided into two brigades. The 1st brigade under Maj. Sule Apollo advanced down the Ogugu-Ogunga-Nsukka road while the 2nd brigade under Maj. Martin Adamu advanced down the Gakem-Obudu-Ogoja road. Defending Biafran soldiers under Brig. H.M. Njoku managed to repel the attack, however, the Nigerian Army began recruiting guides and informants to report on the disposition of Biafran troops, their strength, and other crucial information. For 10 days the Nigerian Army fought its way southward and managed to capture the towns of Nsukka, Ogugu, Ogunga, Ogoja, Gakem, and Obudu while also forcing defending Biafran troops to retreat in disarray. Many Biafran soldiers complained of malaria, headache, and other ailments. Thousands of Biafran civilians fled their homes, in fear of being massacred by Nigerian soldiers, and headed for the Biafran capital, Enugu.

Aftermath

16 days after the Biafrans retreated Nzeogwu attempted to regain control of Nsukka on July 30 but was killed by Nigerian soldiers while driving down a road. The Nigerian Army were successful in their conquest of Nsukka, and then continued their onslaught towards Enugu though at a slower pace because of the invasion of the mid-western region. After the Biafran officers led by Victor Banjo invaded Nigeria's Mid-Western Region. Murtala Mohammed was put in charge of fending off all Biafran soldiers within Nigeria's boundaries. Victor Banjo got within 135 miles of the Nigerian Capital Lagos before he was intercepted by Mohammed's men. After over a month of bloody fighting the Biafrans retreated to Onitsha and released their hold over the Mid-Western Region. With the Midwest Invasion over the Nigerians returned to Nsukka and began planning an invasion of the Biafran Capital Enugu. Due to Nsukka's proximity to Enugu it was a strategic stronghold. Nigerian forces invaded the area around Enugu in mid September 1967 with the knowledge that Enugu would not fall easily if he attacked it head on so he decided to surround the city and begin a siege. On September 30 Nigerian forces were able to break through the Biafran defensive lines around Enugu and entered the city. After 6 days of bloody fighting the Biafrans forces retreated to the outskirts, and relocated their capital south to Umuahia.

Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, has said that his government was forced to take a $75 million development loan from the World Bank, because the Federal Government led by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 16 years had looted the nation’s treasury and pauperized the states.

He said it was a good thing that President Muhammadu Buhari came at the right time to stop the liquidation of the country.
The World Bank had approved a $225 million loan for Edo State Government in 2012, to be implemented in three tranches of $75 million per annum.

The first tranche of the loan was approved by the National Assembly in the 2012-2014 Federal Government External Rolling Borrowing Plan, while the second tranche was approved by the National Assembly, last week.

Addressing reporters at the Government House on Sunday, Mr. Oshiomhole said “If the PDP did not steal the money, we would not need to borrow. What we lost from the NLNG under the PDP Federal Government was about $11.6 billion. Edo State’s share of that money was more than N30 billion. If you realise that from every one billion dollars, we get more than N2.7 billion. So if PDP did not steal and bleed the economy dry, our legitimate revenue stolen by the past PDP government and its men is more than that.

“PDP is simply not in a position to blame the victims of their own looting which is unprecedented in the history of the country. My hope is that they would be brought to justice.

“You heard President Buhari saying last week that after they finished looting the treasury, they even borrowed to loot. You heard the president say that they took a loan from China and they already had taken $600 million from the loan. By now if they were still there, there would have finished the rest.

“In the South-South zone, look at the debt profile, Edo is the least borrowed. The only major loan we have taken since I assumed office was a N25 billion bond out of which we have paid over N20 billion because we are paying N530 million every month.

“As we speak, we have only about N5 billion left of that loan which will be liquidated before the end of this tenure. You heard of bailout, find out what PDP states are borrowing under the bailout plan, not for development but to pay salaries. But Edo State Government is up-to-date with salaries without bail out. You need to interrogate facts and not report these people as if they are responsible people because when you do that, people don’t know the difference between mischief makers and responsible people.

“PDP should simply shut up because they destroyed everything. Carry out your own investigations. You read in the papers how much our neighboring states are borrowing? You heard of N20billion, N30 billion under two months. To do what, to settle the invisibles. You hear them talking about N14.5 billion. We are not borrowing to pay salaries, we are able to do that in spite of the massive looting by the PDP. I appeal to the media because you are victims and you must interrogate these thieves when they break the highway rules and want to divert you. When you ask questions, they say you want to witch-hunt. Why won’t you witch-hunt when the witches are killing people in the village.

“For me, the only regret I have is that somehow, these rogues can seemingly eat their cake and yours and go out to complain that the cake is missing when it is in their stomach. I also need you to consult the World Bank to look at the statement they issued that Edo is the second state, Lagos being the first; that these two states have shown sufficient reforms, transparency, accountability in Internally Generated Revenue and reforming the public policy to ensure value for money.

“They are providing these facilities as a measure for encouraging other states to take a cue from what Lagos and Edo are doing. If this is the basis of support and you are listening to a bunch of armed robbers of what they think about decent society, they would rather borrow at 20% and they are envious that we are attracting a facility more or less at zero cost of 1% spread out over 20 years. If you read the report of the Senate, it says about 17 states and these are PDP states have applied for this facility but because of their public image, the World Bank is not willing to loan to them.

“I read in one of the papers that about $2.2 million donated by an NGO to support the election was stolen and they were compelled to return it but the former Minister Finance said it was witchhunting because they have refunded the money but it was misapplied.

“You hear PDP say nothing has happened in Edo State. Even the Hospital we are building, the Benin City Water Storm project, just one project is more than the entire loan we have taken. So as we speak, Edo is the least borrowed. Every state now is borrowing money for salaries. You are not just to parrot the views of armed robbers. When you report, you say however, it will be recalled that, that way, the reader understands who is saying the truth,” Mr. Oshiomhole said.

Politics › Re: APC Reveals How Nigeria Was Looted By Past Officials, Fashola’s N78.3M Website A by giles14(m): 8:14pm On Aug 16, 2015
ybase3:
The All Progressives Congress, APC, on Sunday disclosed that the massive looting of the nation’s treasury by past public officials was spine-chilling and mind-boggling, insisting that nothing but the total recovery of the funds would be acceptable to all patriotic Nigerians.

The party, in a statement issued in Lagos by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, warned that anyone who attempts, either by deeds or words, to sabotage the recovery efforts is not patriotic and deserves nothing but public condemnation.

It however appreciated Nigerians for their overwhelming support to the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari in its tough but important task of tracing and recovering the loots, while also ensuring that the looters face justice.

The statement reads, “It is absolutely gratifying that Nigerians are vehemently opposed to the few who would rather have the government of the day turn a blind eye to the looted funds and, in their words, carry on with the process of
governance.

“Truly, what sort of governance can go on if the billions of Naira in a few hands are not recovered? In the first instance, the government needs every kobo of the funds it can muster to bring about the change it has promised Nigerians.

“Secondly, leaving such hair-raising funds in the hands of the few looters is dangerous, because they can use
the funds to destabilize any government.

“In fact, no one will be surprised if the
looters use their dirty funds to sponsor public demonstrations against the government’s determination to recover the funds.

“Thirdly, allowing those who privatized the commonwealth to get away is offering a thumbs-up for looting. No
responsible government will do that,” the APC said.

Mohammed observed that the looters have already embarked on a relentless and an increasingly-bold campaign
to discredit the government of the day and sabotage the funds’ recovery process, using newspaper columnists, ‘talking heads’ and otherwise respectable opinion leaders.

“They and their paid hirelings have tried
to employ sophistry to muddle the waters, but Nigerians are much
wiser, and will not succumb to the dirty antics of the looters’ megaphones,” he added.

The governing party maintained that it is
necessary to remind Nigerians of the kind of massive looting of the treasury that took place in the past few years, in order for them to better appreciate the seriousness of the issue at stake.

It consequently listed instances of looting of Nigeria’s treasury to include:
– 3.8 trillion Naira out of the 8.1
trillion Naira earned from crude oil (2012-2015) withheld by
NNPC

– 2.1 billion US dollars from Excess Crude
Account unaccounted for

– Department of Petroleum Resources’
unremitted 109.7 billion Naira royalty from oil firms

– 6 billion US dollars allegedly looted by
some Ministers of the last Administration

– 160 billion barrels of crude worth 13.9
billion US dollars lost between 2009 and 2012

– 15 million US dollars from botched arms
deal yet to be returned to Nigeria

– 13 billion US dollars in NLNG dividends
mostly unaccounted for

– 30 billion Naira rice waiver

– 183 billion naira unaccounted for at the
NDDC

The governing party said the listed
‘missing’ funds constituted just a tip of the iceberg since they are mostly from a few sectors of the economy, mostly the oil sector, and were discovered even before the forensic audit now
being undertaken in some key areas.

joeybankz:
Hi guys,

Happy weekend to you all...

I want to share an experience I had while travelling from Jigawa state to Kano state this past Friday. I had plans of getting a bus heading to Abuja in Kano.

First of all i'm a corps member deployed to Jigawa state to serve my father land.
It hasn't been easy so far, however, I and so many other corps member decided to travel for a two week break after our state clearance.

I and 3 other corps members where fortunate enough to get a bus going to Kano, my plans was to travel to kano and then to Abuja, the others 3 corpers where travelling to Lagos. So our Destination was Kano...

On our way, the driver and his conductor without permission parked the bus and left all of us in the bus and went for Prayers. Everyone was angry, those who were yet to pay decided to follow another bus, I on the other hand have already paid with 200 naira as change which was still with the conductor, so I was stock and had to wait for them for up to 15 Min.

When the driver finally returned from the mosque, he was so angry that the other corps member had left. So he and his conductor decided that they will not give me my remaining change since I allowed the other corps members to leave, and they haven't paid yet.

I didn't understand them because they were speaking in Hausa and they didn't understand Pigeon english.

I got to understand them when I finally got to Kano and they bluntly refused to issue the change, it was a huge argument that passersby had to come, and most of them didn't understand english, the one who finally understood what I was saying said I was at fault, that since the driver went to pray and the corps members left without paying, that I should pay on behalf of the other corps members. It sounded so funny to me.

Anyway I thank God that I finally got my change from the conductor with more persuasion and no violence.

I really want Nairalanders to look into this case, if you were in my shoes what will you do?

Truely those guys who came around where of the opinion that I should pay since my fellow corpers left without paying.

You opinions please!!!
wich state are u from
