REQUIREMENTS OF THE TELECOMS ENGINEER:

1: Should have over seven years experience as a Telecoms Engineer in Oil and Gas Industry
2: Should have done at lest one Chevron project and be familiar with Telecoms Equipments been used by Chevron.
3: Should be familiar with basic telecom equipments, Interfaces and Cables used for offshore applications
4: Should be well spoken and with good communication skill.
5: Should be able to use AUTOCAD and MS Office suite

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1: Update Telecoms deliverables, Layouts, Block Diagrams, Datasheets, Interconnection Diagram and Cable Schedule.
2: To relate with Client (CNL) on Telecoms issues. (Scope clarification and Company requirements)
3: To relate with Telecoms Vendor on Telecoms issues to make sure Company requirements are met design and fabrication of Telecom systems.
4: To carry out any other activities assigned to him by the Discipline Lead.

Description:
To develop company and brand websites, including content, appearance, texture, features, specifications, branding experience, messaging, information, functionality and landing page support.
Work in social media spaces, blogs, video sharing, online chats, wikis, community out-reach efforts, etc., answering questions where appropriate and writing newsletter content.
Monitor benchmarks and metrics for measuring the impact of company/brand websites and social media programmes. Track and analyse the effectiveness and success of online initiatives against targets, benchmarks and metrics (e.g., traffic, page views, impressions, reach and influence) and provide reports and insights
Monitor and report on digital/social media trends, tools and applications, to ensure that developments and learnings are taken into account in activity planning.

Maintain network security through proper configuration of VPN and Firewalls
Systems: Windows, Cisco Systems, UNIX, Linux

Installation, configuration, and support of VPN, LAN, WAN
Network monitoring to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability
Maintain network hardware and software
Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures for protecting data, software, and hardware
Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
