To be honest, I never reach the 150m tax bracket but I foresee reaching there in the near future. So na my future I dey fight for like this . "... total gain do not exceed #10m..." . 10% of 150m has already exceeded 10m. I might as well just put that money in fixed deposit at 20% and sleep easy. The more I think about it, the angrier I get

Let's even say the "reset" happens and the "cost base" becomes the higher of your purchase price and 31st December, 2025. That's only one part of the problem plus the "reset" is a one-off event. My major concern is the 25%-30% CGT. It's too much. Also, in my opinion the 150m and 10m criteria are not much. They should be increased to 500m and 50m🚶🚶
