The standard Yoruba is not indigenous to any town in Ondo state. Everyone have their own distinct variant of Yoruba which. The Akure Language is closely related with Ijesha and Ekiti. Akoko have their own numerous dialect. Ondo town and the neighborhood speak what we call Ondo language.

Whether standard or not, they still speak Yoruba dialect. Every Yoruba subgroup have their own dialect
