Hi everyone,

I have seen many punters practically throw away money.

I keep saying that ACCUMULATION is very dangerous to your profit bottom line.

Think about this:

Each match is a 3-way probable event (home wins, away wins or draw).

If I pick a straight win for any team (without bias), it have a 1/3 (one in three) chance of the event occurring.

Meaning I have about 33% chance to win and 66% chance to loose,

Now, let us think about the double chance games. These ones give the punter 66% chance to be correct but there is still 33% chance of being wrong. Think about Dortmund yesterday even with a win or draw DC, one would have still lost money.

Okay, let us now see 2 different punters that accumulate only 4 matches

Punter 1:
Straight win/draw/loss for 4 games.
Mathematically, here is what he has done

1/3 * 1/3 * 1/3 * 1/3 = 1/81

Meaning he has just 1 out of 81 chance of being right while the bookmaker has 80 out of 81.

Please tell me who we truly expect to win?

Punter 2:

Double Chance for 4 games

Mathematically, he has done :

2/3 * 2/3 * 2/3 * 2/3 = 16/81

This is much better than the first guy, yet he only has 16 chances to be right out of 81 while our dear bookmaker again has 65 chances of being right out of 81.

Again, this is in favour of the bookmaker.

I have only shown accumulating 4 games, now imagine the slim chance a punter that accumulates 10 games has?

Hear me and hear me real good, ACCUMULATION is what makes you loose money. While it tries to increase your winning, it also drastically increase your chance of being wrong.
