so here comes part 3 of my testimony, mind you UK is critical of pregnant Women especially Nigerians to go to the UK for childbirth because healthcare is free to citizens and residents via NHS. hence the rigorous check we were subjected to at heathrow airport. so we left UK after the 10 days "layover", i ensured DW wore stuffs to conceal her bump just so BA staff dont ask for a new fit to fly cos the one we got from nIgeria had now gone beyond the 7 days window prior to flying. we checked in and boarded without any issues and thankfully the bump was not notice. we arrived GIA houston and there was a massive crowd i think abt 5 planes landed about same time. i filed the landing card and joinr the queue, we were scaning thru the CBP officers to see the one with the most welcoming face/smile when we were called to go to an entirely different counter on the far left. so we met this latino looking man and the following sonversations ensued
Me: Good day
CBPO: Good afternoon and request for passports and landing card
Me: Handed over passports and landing card (i missed out a section and he pointed it out and i completed it)
CBPO: why did you come to america
Me: Vacation and to have our baby if we have the opportunity
CBPO: Why do you want to deliver your baby here
Me: Nigeria has a very high birth mortality (dint even know if i shld say infant mortality or childbirth mortality)
CBPO: How much do you have
Me: 3700 USD and abt 10k in a bank card
CBPO: How long do you wana stay
Me: I said 10 -12 weeks and DW said 3 months
CBPO: (typed on his keyboard for like 3 minutes and then took fingerprints and photograph for DW)
Me: (Just praying in my heart)
CBPO: Have u contacted doctors and hospitals
Me: Yes and attempted to bring out the burden of proof and all but he didnt seem interested so I refrained from bringing them out
CBPO: did my finger prints, took my photograph and he stamped me in till april 2017 and sent DW for secondary inspection

I asked where i could wait for DW and he pointed towards the exit, I gave DW the ipad, budget sheet, burden of proof etc and told her i will be praying for her. I was praying like i had never did before, I prayed psalm 18 and psalm 24 while i was waiting for DW.

DW said she entered the secondary inspection room and saw a lot of people and she was wondering how long she wld have to wait till her turn. Surprisingly, she was called after just 5 minutes and here starts the miracle.

This time it was a female CBP officer
CBPO: (looks at her passport and saw that DW's middle name is a Yoruba name) Are you Yoruba?
DW: Yes ma
CBPO: "Ka a bo" and "ba wo ni" (meaning "welcome"and "how are you" in Yoruba)
DW: (at this point DW was in shock and cldnt believe this Caucasian woman speaking Yoruba to her, at this point they both burst in laughter)
CBPO: I hope you drank a lot of water while on the plane, You should ensure you take plenty of water while your are here.
DW: (stood there and was shaking and saying) "yess madam" "yess madam"
CBPO: Can i see your bump (DW wore a Jacket)
DW: (removed her jacket)
CBPO: its a boy!
DW: Yes its a boy and how did you know ma?
CBPO I just knew from the shape of your bump
DW: (Stood speechless)
CBPO: Have you contacted a doctor/hospital
DW: Yes and handed her the correspondence
CBPO: (She took it and didn't read through, didnt even look at it)
Stamped her till april 2017 (6 months), returned her passport and other documents. Furthermore, she told her to send an email, if she wana stay longer than 6 months. then she said enjoy your stay, have a safe delivery and make sure you pay your bills.

My beautiful people of NI, Una thank You o! This can only be God!
The formular remains adequate preparation plus faith in God! Glory be to God!
Also worthy of mention are the following VVIPs justwise, Firsttymum, nefertitiram, lobus, nnystc and every other mama n papa, you all have been very resourceful. God bless u all immensely .

So[b] after re-routing my flight we had 10 days in the UK before continuing our waka to Houston. We applied for UK visas and we got it. all my attempt to get PTA failed and i was left with my luck at travellex lagos airport on the day of departure, My proactive self went to the airport to inquire from travellex if they wld have dollars the next day, and that was how i heard the unbelievable! they require BVN Card!!! who has BVN cards never heard of it! I called my account officer and she said she doesn't think GT has cards for any1, I drove straight to d branch i registered and was told my card isnt ready, so i requested for a cover letter but got a print out containing my name and BVN number with a GTB stamp on it. Got to the airport 5:30 pm for a 11:30 pm flight, checked in and get our boarding passes, then we joined the queue at travelex, i met the travelex manager who said my print out should be acceptable, but there was a change of shift b4 it got to my turn at abt, that was how the new manager said he wont accept my BVN print out. All effort to beg and persuade him failed, even told him the previous manager said it cld fly. Over 4 hours of standing amounted to nothing. I gave up and said atleast i tried my best, so i saw my people off to the car park and was going to board when i thought i could try again, now there was no one there at this time and twas abt 10:10 and he said ok i will give u 2k each instead of 4k each i said i dint mind and that was how i got PTA at the last minutes o, mind you boarding gate closes at 10:30 we narrowly got in through the boarding gate as the ground staff were already threatening to offload us. Got on the flight, BA is as good as always, oh lest i forget, we presented fit to fly at the check in counter. Got to Heathrow and i was thinking its gona be a walk over cos i av been through Heathrow POE countless times, however it wasn't so easy getting through this time cos I had my pregnant wife with me who was in UK for the first time. see transcript below;
Me: Morning
CBP: Morning and what are u here for
Me: here for vacation and a 4 days course
CBP: (she sees that DW is pregnant) Madam what do u do
DW: i am xxxxx and i do xxxxx
CBP: how far along are you
DW: 30 weeks and hands her fit to fly from doc in Nigeria
CBP: how long are in here for
Me: 10 days
CBP: can i see your return flight?
Me: i handed her our itinerary
CBP: (she sees that we r going to america and that return from america is in 3 months time ) why are u going to america?
Me: for another round of vacation and to have our baby if we have the opportunity.
CBP: its expensive in america, do u have families there?
Me: i have budgeted 1k per month for accommodation and No we dont have families there
CBP: where do you work and what do u do
Me: i work at xxxxxx as an engineer and my job is xxxx and xxxxx (showed her pay slips)
CBP: did u inform US embassy u were goin to give birth in the states nd said she will call them to confirm.
Me: not at the point of interview but i sent an email after we finalized our plans. (showed her copy of the mail i sent and reply from NIV lagos)
CBP: do u have enough money to cover the travel and bills?
Me: i have 4k USD in hand and 10k in cards/bank
note that she was writing everything i said in a notebook
CBP: have u contacted hospital and doctor?
Me: yes i have contacted Hospital and doctor (showed her long thread of emails btwn doctor and I)
CBP: i will have to speak to my manager and get back to you, pls come with me
she takes us to a waiting area, there we sat for abt 20 mins
then we saw her returning, i saw white paper but DW saw a stamp with her while she walked towards us, she said pls come with me and as we walk beyond the Point of entry counters, then she apologized for delaying us and explained that she had to do the checks and that we should have a nice time here and enjoy our time in america and wished us a safe delivery. na so we enter UK.
I said Houston cannot be worse than this.
watch out for part 3 highlight is houston POE

Good day all, this trend has been such a blessing to me and my family. In the spirit of giving back, here goes my experience and testimony. its gona be long (visas to POEs), hence I will break it into parts in other to avoid one very long boring post. We applied for a family vacation thru an agent and on the interview date DW was not allowed in cos agent thought we only needed one DS160 page not two, so i went in and DW stayed out trying to change her appointment. I got the visa, she made the appointment and went again two weeks later and she was not allowed cos she was late, not as if she was late tho she only returned to the car park to leave her phone in the car and upon getting back to the embassy security said she they had passed her time. She made another appointment 2 weeks later now she managed to get in and was refused, all the questions asked were abt me not about her. Well, unknown to us God was at work cos he has a timing for everything in our lives, we just wanted to have the visa at hand so we could plan a vacation or childbirth in the future cos she wasn't pregnant and we weren't even married as at the time of the first application in feb 2015. So we took a vacation to South Africa for our wedding anni, she applied again upon arrival and now she had taken in and guess what? she was given the visa (June 2016). She finally got the visa when we really needed it. although she didn't mention childbirth at the interview, however the application was for medical/tourist visa (B2). The research officially started after she got her visa and that was when I stumbled in this wonderful thread filled with honest and genuine Nigerians. I wish i had known abt this thread all my life! through this thread i was able to streamline to Atlanta and Houston. I have friends who had used DR F in Houston and so I decided on Houston. Got BA tickets in August for first week in Oct; LAG - LON-PHILLY-HOU (its okay to laff or shout at this point, i had no knowledge abt philly POE) as Oct got closer I realized I had to do a course in d UK in Oct/Nov so instead of flying to UK and back then flying out again to Houston, I rang up BA requesting to change my ticket to a multiple destination which they gladly did at a fee, so flight was re-routed LOS-LON-LON-HOU that was how God saved us from Philly POE. watch out for part 2 coming soon. highlight is Heathrow POE
