PoliticsTEARS: 5 Benefits Of Fuel Subsidy Removal by globalssasensor(op): 2:19pm On May 31, 2023
Here are five benefits of fuel subsidy removal:

1. Fuel subsidy removal, according to experts, would free up resources for other sectors of the economy.

2. The government spends a significant portion of its budget on fuel subsidies, which could be better spent on education, healthcare, infrastructure development, amongst other key sectors.

3. Establishments of domestic refineries to produce more petroleum products, reducing Nigeria’s dependence on imported fuel.

4. Availability of domestic refineries will boost the country’s economy

5. Massive creation of jobs for Nigerians.

PoliticsMy Cabinet Members Feared Buhari Will Jail Them – Goodluck Jonathan by globalssasensor(op): 4:13pm On May 30, 2023
Former President Goodluck Jonathan said members of his cabinet feared going to jail when the immediate past President, Muhammadu Buhari, won the 2015 presidential election.

Politics Nigeria gathered that Jonathan made the comments while speaking in an interview aired by Arise TV on Monday, May 29, said some of his cabinet members even felt he would run away, but he stayed in the country.

According to him, “In my own time especially in the 2015 elections, my ministers, my senior officers, people who worked with me; there was this fear that having lost the election, what would be our fate? Would the new government just throw all of us into jail without giving a fair hearing? Because government is next to the court and can decide to do anything.”

The former president said the “tense atmosphere” his team faced during the transition period in 2015 was not faced by the outgone government of Buhari.

Speaking further on why he conceded defeat to Buhari, Jonathan said, “By this time, I already conceded defeat. And I knew why I conceded defeat, because I was more interested in the country than myself.”

Jonathan said it was important for politicians to be more interested in the country than themselves, saying without the country, there would be no president.

According to him, despite the transition of the electoral process from manual to electronic, there were still problems.

He warned that Independent National Electoral Commission must sit up or else the commission would throw Nigeria into conflagration someday.

When asked how Nigeria could come out of electoral controversy through reforms, he said, “The problem we have is INEC and security. And I used to give an example; if two soccer teams are playing and the referee decides to look the other way, they will injure themselves.

“And you must not allow it. The electoral management body shares more than 60 per cent of the blame. If they do their work well, the politicians will have no choice but to follow the rules – they, the security and the courts.”

FoodTips For Buying Food And Soup To Help You Get Through This Political Recession by globalssasensor(op): 3:54pm On Aug 14, 2022
Hello everyone I am aware that the previous few months have been utterly agonizing. I've discovered that most of our cuisines in the southern and western regions of Nigeria ask for soup as a side dish. I'll give you some tips on how to prepare delicious, budget-friendly soups.

1) Dried Red Bell Pepper: A few dried peppercorns can make a significant impact in your pot of soup or stew

2.Soya Cheese:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcNRWhx3DDE
Soya Cheese is an excellent alternative to pricey proteins. The drawback is that it takes time and energy to peel, boil, cook, and/or fry the meat-like replacements.

3. Egg Stew

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-Dw8_jeHcU
Egg stew is a great substitute for fried eggs because it uses less eggs than fried eggs.

4. Beans Soup:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3M3z8GXNoAw
The soups that accompany with morsels can be replaced with bean soup (Gbegiri), which is a great and healthy alternative. Beans must be peeled before being peeled, boiled with onions, mashed, and sieved (if you have a blender, just blend the beans with the rest of the ingredients or you could blend the beans and add it to the Pepper mix).

5. Okro/Ogbono Soup:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-y67KOZmJ4Q
The moment is right to learn how to make ogbono, also known as okro soup. You can make a wonderful soup without the tomato and pepper combo. Okro soup is a delectable dish that can be made using palm oil and dried pepper.
