It's really unfortunate to see the brazing lopsidedness in the FG appointments in favour of the South West. Buhari did same and Tinubu is doing even worse.

APC seems to be on a mission to destroy Nigeria completely. Zero sense of managing national diversity and cohesion.

Nigerians elites have failed this country and I hope the Nigerian youths won't choose to be docile, irresponsible and foolish.

If the needful is not done now, there won't be Nigeria left for our children and grandchildren.

Before you can make this assertion I think you should give an accurate data of all the appointments across board, then give numbers from each political zone.

It is time to push with the evidence of application in your possession.

Send acknowledgment copy to your politicians from your area and seek for help. Tell them REA is recruiting and you have applied too. Don’t write much, just brief, you have applied and attach the application and phone contact of the MD if you have for them to call the MD (I don’t have his contact though).

N/B, some politicians won’t reply your chat but has taken note of your request and will just forward your application to the appropriate channels.

Don’t attach ur cv bcus they don’t have time to be on screen for long with their eye problems. Send just a page of the application and brief message is enough. Send it like flyers..

Is better to try than not trying at all.

I have received more than 56 emails requesting NOA update so instead of replying one after the other privately, I think it’s wise I drop what I know here.

The DG is a close friend to Tinubu, he played important role during the presidential campaign, hence he routed the recruitment approval through SGF. The mistake he made was that he dropped proposal for staff welfare and employment of 300 staff. The SGF asked him to choose 1.

Either staff welfare or recruitment but if he chooses recruitment, they can increase to 400 for him. The DG considered the money involved in the recruitment of 400 new staff. He then told the SGF he will get back to him on his decision on which one to handle first, either recruitment of 400 new staff or implementation of staff welfare which will also cost him enough money. Up till this moment, the DG NOA is yet to get back to the SGF so the whole process is in the hand of the DG NOA. SGF is waiting for him.

I must really commend you for the time you always take to drop info on this platform. I only posterity can reward you.

Keep pretending as if you are unaware that even if by any stroke of luck, the FG agrees to that amount, the State Governors will never agree nor comply. Are you also aware that the Federal Workers are not the only crop of workers in the country? You expect Dufil Prima to pay their cleaners N615k monthly and still want to buy indomie carton at N5000. 🤡
You want Nigeria Bottling Company to pay its driver (which by the way should earn above MW) N615K and expect to buy a bottle of coke at N300. 🤡🤡

When what is common on this faceless forum is everyone cussing at and insulting the President at any given instance, when infact, your governors have been collecting x3 of their monthly FAAC allocations since last year with nothing to show for it. Pretend like you are not living in a country where a Governor paid half salaries to workers for years but paid upfront tuition fees of his children in an international school till 2035. If you don't understand the implication of that, I don't know how else to explain to you.

Are you aware that with every wage increase comes corresponding inflation? Considering how wicked Nigerian entrepreneurs and traders are, how will you explain to the market woman that she can't increase the price of her goods when she is fully aware that FG has increased minimum wage. You think the artisans don't like or deserve a better life too? How will they get it? By billing you the newest big boys in town. That's how economics work.

Finally,for a country with the lowest VAT collection in Africa, fighting daily oil theft, smuggling, endemic corruption in both government and civil service, where will the monies to pay over 1m workers come from? Don't forget 615k is for the lowest worker, what will be the consequential adjustment for other levels especially the senior cadres? The 615k MW will not eradicate corruption, so how much do you think ordinary civil service job slots will now be sold for? As I type, Abia, Zamfara and Taraba states are yet to comply with the N30,000 MW of 2019. Imo State refused to implement the consequential adjustment for Levels 08-17 since 2019. Labour is insisting that every organisation with more than 5 workers must pay the minimum wage. So you expect the local bakery at the back of your house to pay 615k too and still sell bread at 500?

Some of us are very pragmatic and objective, not living in utopia like others. Do we wish to have 615k MW? Yes, nobody has died of too much earnings. Is it realistic? No, not with the current economic realities and crop of leaders at "all levels of government". The only way that may be possible is to adopt several MW as is obtainable in Canada and other Western countries where each provinces/state have their MW and the FG has its own. If you are working in Zamfara and not satisfied with the wages, you can simply migrate to Lagos for greener pastures, also bearing in mind that although Lagos may have a higher MW, the cost of living in Lagos is way higher than in Zamfara. Then everyone can be lobbying for Federal jobs as the ultimate.

Thanks for this succinct explanation. Well articulated. Most people don't actually think deep and they make opinions and decision based on emotions and all sort. I had this same argument with a senior colleague of mine telling him why it's not a feasible measure to increase MW to over 500k. I stated same reason that it would bring about inflation just that I was unable to put enough life to my argument like you did now. I honestly didn't hear it anywhere, but it just common sense.
