The 1989 set of College Demonstration Primary School Awka otherwise known as #magicClass or #Demo89set, last weekend commissioned projects worth 5.7Million in their alma mater. They also honoured their teachers with awards and gifts and prayed for the repose of those that are no more. https://www.google.com/amp/s/nnn.com.ng/2019/08/04/old-pupils-execute-n5-7m-projects-in-alma-mater-honour-ex-teachers/?espv=1 |

tubabe: No sir.direct left frm franceThe truth will help u sell this car. Check out the wiper, you can never get it so accurate like the lhd no matter hw hard u try. The car is a rhd that has bn converted to lhd. I dont need a prophet to tell me otherwise. Besides it's a UK used ride not FRANCE. l suggest u tell ur potential buyer the true status of the ride to avoid after sales embarassment. Am a die hard fan of 406(FOX). I have used a uk converted fox for abt 2years without any problem. As long as d conversion is done well u dont have any fear. It still remains the best car for Nigeran road. Peugoet 406 (FOX) all d way any time any where!!! |
RIGHTY |
The price of PMS is increasing in various parts of our country. A journey from the south to the north will reveal the non uniformity of this highly sibsidized comodity. Those of us that travel alot across different states, need to know the current price of PMS to avoid unnecessary embarassments. |
Nice ride. Peugeot 'FOX' 406 all the way....built for Nigerian roads. |
Peugeot is European, it comes in both LHD and RHD for different european countries. France, Spain , Germany etc use LHD while UK use RHD. 406 is designed primarily to favour the LHD. Those RHD for th UK market are manufactured with special consideration for possible conversion to LHD one day. This you will observe during the conversion from RHD to LHD. The manufacturer has already marked/punched out the areas where u can fix LHD accessories eg steering rack, pedals, a/c evaporator and fan. 406 is one of the easiest cars to convert because the manufacturer has made it so easy because of europe market. The problem we have is our greedy Nigerian brothers who always like to cut corners so as to maximise profit. Imagine when the RHD pedals and steering rack are bent to fit into the LHD instead of buying the LHD pedal, dashboard, steering rack, A/C evaporator. The result is outright calamity on the road. The pressurized air in the ac pipes can even bust due to the wrong bending and forceful positioning of the system. My 406 was converted badly. The RHD steering was used in the LHD. The RHD pedals were also bent and forced to fit into the LHS. It looked so funny and very difficult to drive. It didnt give me the 'FOX' satisfaction so i took it to another workshop were all the LHD parts were fitted propery. I have used this same ride for about a year and six months without any problem. It still remains my best ride. 406 is so adorable. If converted properly with the right parts, you wont notice the difference with a factory LHD even in the performance. Good conversion will cost about N220k but car dealers spend less than 100k for this same conversion to save cost and endanger the lives of their supposed esteemed customers. My advise to anybody that wants to buy a UK used 406 which is always exceptionally clean and cheap is to buy it as RHD, then buy the LHD parts yourself and supervise closely the entire conversion process. Above get info of good workshops where it could be done. Most techicians can handle the conversion if they avoid the greed factor. |
1. The wipers. No matter how hard they tried during the conversion, the wiper stick/blade looks weird. It curves in a very unprofessional manner. 2. The power window buttons on the drivers side after conversion to LHD has the one touch'AUTO' button controlling the front passenger window which was originally designed as the drivers side in RHD instead of the drivers window in LHD. 3. The pedals are badly positioned sometimes and u can easily identify the absence of the foot rest beside the clutch pedal. This foot rest is seen on the front passengers side indicating that it's converted from RHD. 4. The a/c vents do not channel the air properly. You will observe that air comes from almost all the openings in the dashboard, beneath it and from the gear lever region. The ac fan/blower under the dash is usually inverted and blows downwards instead of upwards, therefore giving no direction to the chillers. The passenger in the front seat may have his feet frozen in a long journey because that is where majority of the chilled air is directed. 5. Look out for over long throtle cable. 6. The pedal compartment on RHS will be covered after transfering the pedals to the LHS and it can be see when you open the engine compartment. It is either welded or coverec with black plastic. thomasjohn: here are some few that i know of, |
The 'FOX' 406, is highly stable and durable. My best ride for long distance journies. Good fuel economy, very rugged suspensions, perfect stability on high speed, and comfortable interior with nice a.c chilling. Maintenance is cheaper than all japanese cars. Original and geniune spare parts are readily available and very cheap unlike toyota and honda parts. Another advantage is that the shock absorbers don't get bad, u only change linkages. The fox dislikes flood and dust. Don't wash ur engine with water and always change ur air cleaner/dust puruifier. Auto drive version is not recommended. The auto gerar box is problematic. The manual gear box costs 5k and hadly spoils. FOX is the best car for Nigerian roads.

Peouget 406 (FOX) all the way. The stability is unimaginable. I have pulled a lot of stunt with mine and it never failed me. Taking sharp bends at high speed, 180kph is normal for the fox.The entire built especially the suspensions are designed for Nigerian roads unlike camry. I change my camry suspensions every 6months. The 406 headlamp is the best for night journies on bad roads. I will always have a FOX for rugged journies.

Ekene dili chukwu doesnt operate in Calabar. I doubt the authenticity of this story. Ekene doesnt have a park or terminal in Calabar. I wonder where he boarded d so called Lagos bound bus in Calabar |
I am a die hard fan of peugeot. My best model is 406 and expert. I have some reservations about the engine. It looks like 1998 406 engine. No doubt the ride is clean, probably uk used. If it is UK used then it has bn converted from rhd to lhd making the price of 1.2 million naira beliveable.Otherwise i smell a rat. |

I drive a uk used 406 rhd to lhd. initially the conversion was really bad. the pedals, steering rack etc were poorly fitted. I guess the technician was too conservative, trust naija mechanics. Instead of buying left side accessories, he tried using and converting the rhd pedals etc to save cost to the detriment of the user. ludkily i found some one else that cleared the mess. Now i enjoy d ride.it's my best car now. 406 is rugged, more stable on high speed, has reliable suspensions unlike camry and good for naija roads. UK used 406 cars are exceptionally clean, i wonder if they drive the cars at all before shipping them to naija. I am so sure this one is uk used. My own stands out in d crowd. It's different from d kaduna PAN assembled prestige. It's a GLX with many features that u will never find in prestige. My candid advise to prospective buyers is to have a good maintenance culture and u ll enjoy the ride like i am doing. |
i just bought a uk used RHD converted 406 @ 1 million naira. The mileage reads 100. Is d odometer changed when changing d dash? Can somebody tell me how the gear positions work in rhd. is it same as lhd where gear 1 & 2 are close to d driver. |
1. Does the car have any known fault? 2. Why do you want to sell this fine ride? 3. Whats the mileage? |
To our numerous car dealers, if u can supply this car at 1million contact me. gloryland26@yahoo.com. thanks |
@Aguna, this is exactly the type of car i will like to buy. I will pay 1Million for the car. Pls reply soon. |
I will offer 1m. This car is an economy line of avalon. There should be some price diffence btw this car and the full option version. Full option avalon is 1.2million in portharcourt and lagos. Pls accept my offer. |
The car does not have leather seat and rear AC vent like other Avalons. Fabric interior is always cheaper than leather interior. Chuddy pls make d price more affordable. I offer 900k, if its ok by u, i will come over for inspection. Thanks |
