It's been a long time.l couldn't cope with demand so l had to,kind of hibernate for a while but now that l have up to 86 kittens ready for sale in about a week,l am back!

NO,rabbits don't abandon their kittens just because you touch or move them.l usually count every set of kittens from one spot of the litter box to another,holding each one in my palm.l still move kittens from one cage to another ,holding them, and even on long distances.ln fact, l just moved 3 sets of kittens before coming online.

We sell two different groups; - 2 females,1male of 2 months old is sold for N4,000 + N500 for logistics.The other group of 3 and a half months old is sold for N7,500 + N500 for logistics.To send to PH is no problem but l always prefer air conditioned buses for long journeys.

how do you gather rabbit urine?

It is difficult,but still achievable,to collect rabbit urine from all wooden cages but only from all wire cages and,at least cages with wire floors.However,my own method of rearing them in a kind of free range room system makes collecting their urine a reality. Since their room is floored with sand spread on it and rabbits usually urinate on their feeding spots as they eat,we always put their feed on the same spots.As the rabbits eat and urinate on the spots,the sand is soaked up and we only wait few days before we pack the drenched sand and even some rabbit poo straight to the vegetable farm.

Oga,their urine goes to my vegetable farm.l am even experimenting using it in sack farming which is already doing well on rabbit poo only.

They are looking healthy, pls share your the components of your feeds and what percentage proportion. Do you engaged the service of vet? Etc. I was once into Rabbit in small scale some years ago before I relocated.

Sorry, almost my whole day was spent on catfish breeding in the hatchery but l am back at least for now. As most of us should know,rabbits have lots of feed items and can as well eat most things humans eat.However,if you feed your rabbit only ipomoea batatas(potato leaves) or ipomoea aquatica(water spinach) or any combination of the two,then you will be OK as your rabbit will grow 23 grams a day on any of them. At Glory To God Farms,we use all three and a formulated feed.Just do a protein concentrate and combine with dried palm fronds at ratio 1:1 and your rabbits will grow at 28 grams a day! On health,rabbits barely have any health issues if you don't invite one yourself and in our case, we have not been using any drug let alone involving services of a vet.Please permit me to expatiate on this in a separate post soon by His grace.

Thanks 4 your comments.You see there are some very good businesses people just don't want to go into because there is no assurance on ready market for the products.This, l must admit,prevented me from buying more rabbits when l was starting and today, my take is it is gross ignorance! A lot of factors come into play: interest,passion,technical know-how,packaging commitment and what have you? If you know what some American rabbit farms are doing with rabbits,you will be having sleepless months!

Thank you all concerned nairalanders.The gentleman eventually called but the delivery has to be done tomorrow by God's grace.Down here are his rabbits at the park ready for travelling.
