ProgrammingRe: Why Is PHP So.........boring?? by gloryz24: 11:44pm On Oct 17, 2016
Learn the PHP basics and start learning some PHP framework. There are many to chose from but somehow Laravel is most popular lately. You can watch some tutorials on youtube or laracasts... It makes php more readable, secure and powerful.
ProgrammingRe: What PHP Cms/framework Do You Use And Why? by gloryz24: 11:42pm On Oct 17, 2016
For simple stuff I use Yii (or even CodeIgniter) and for more complex projects I use Laravel. Yii has really nice set of generators so you can generate models quickly and make something really quickly... CodeIgniter is easy to deploy on shared hosting and Laravel is really advanced and powerful framework... I enjoy learning it on LaraCasts.
Car TalkRe: CRUISE CONTROL; Saves Or Uses More Fuel? by gloryz24: 11:11am On Oct 11, 2016
9icetoo:
cruise control helps save fuel in certain conditions. it helps prevent unnecessary acceleration and deceleration. on long flats, it helps save fuel however on steep inclines, it tries to maintain the set speed by downshifting and revving the nuts out of your engine costing you fuel.
so in summary, on long flats, yes. on steep inclines, not so good.
exactly, it helps prevent unnecessary acceleration and deceleration saving the fuel that way but you need to turn that on when the fuel consumption is low, always in the higher gear at lower rpms (on diesel engine around 2k rpms and on petrol one around 3k rpms)
Car TalkRe: First Car: Civic2008 Vs Corolla 2008 Which Is better by gloryz24: 10:45am On Oct 11, 2016
Both are good but I personally prefer the Corolla. It's slightly larger and nicer car.
