An early snapshot from Mood2Know is starting to reveal how people feel around the world. Based on the current dataset, Africa ranks as the 3rd happiest continent globally. Current ranking: 1️⃣ Europe — 6.25 2️⃣ Oceania — 6.23 3️⃣ Africa — 5.82 4️⃣ North America — 5.76 5️⃣ Asia — 5.56 Several African countries in the early sample show positive mood levels (green markers on the map). Examples from the map: 🇪🇬 Egypt — very positive mood 🇳🇬 Nigeria — positive mood 🇿🇦 South Africa — positive mood 🇹🇿 Tanzania — positive mood 🇲🇬 Madagascar — positive mood Even with economic and political challenges, the early data suggests Africans may have a strong sense of resilience and optimism. Of course the dataset is still growing, so this is just an early snapshot. What mood would you give your country today (1–10)? You can also contribute to the map here: 👉 mood2know.com

Small update on this experiment. Since posting yesterday, the project has now recorded **more than 2,300 moods worldwide**. The current global average mood is around **5.9 / 10**, slightly positive overall. Today the project also launched on Product Hunt. It’s interesting to see how the mood varies across regions. Nigeria still appears among the most positive countries in the current sample. Curious to see if that stays true as more people participate. |
Hi everyone, I built a small website called Mood2Know that lets people share their mood in one click and places it on a live world map. I checked the early African data and here is what I found so far: - 26 mood entries from Africa - 12 African countries represented - Average mood in Africa so far: about 6.1 / 10 - Nigeria currently averages 8.0 / 10 in this early sample Most represented African countries at the moment: - South Africa: 4 entries - Egypt: 4 entries - Nigeria: 3 entries - DR Congo: 3 entries - Algeria: 3 entries Important note: This is still a very small sample, so I’m not claiming this represents all of Africa. It’s just an early snapshot from a live public experiment. If more Africans add their mood, the picture becomes much more interesting and meaningful. You can test it here: mood2know.com I’d really love to see more entries from Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa and the rest of the continent. Do you think people in your country are generally feeling better or worse this week?I

Hello everyone, I built a small website where anyone can add their mood (1 to 10) on a world map. Right now there are about 150 moods from different countries. But Africa is still almost empty. If anyone wants to try it, you can add your mood here: mood2know.com I would love feedback from other webmasters here.

Here is a screenshot of the current mood map. As you can see, Europe and parts of Asia already have some data points. But Africa is almost empty right now. This is not because people in Africa have no mood 😄 — it's simply because the data currently comes mostly from platforms like Reddit, which are less used here. That’s why I’m curious: How would you describe the mood in Nigeria or Africa these days? Do you think people feel mostly: Positive 🙂 Neutral 😐 Frustrated 😡 Also, if you know popular African forums or communities where people discuss daily life, I would love to include them in the project.

Hello everyone, I built a small website called mood2know that tries to estimate the mood of people around the world based on public online discussions. The idea is simple: if people are posting more positive messages, the mood goes up. If people are frustrated or angry, the mood goes down. The results are shown on a world map. Right now most of the data comes from places like Reddit, so Africa (including Nigeria) does not have much data yet. That’s why I’m curious to ask people here: 👉 How would you describe the mood in Nigeria today? Positive 🙂 Neutral 😐 Negative 😡 You can also check the map here: mood2know.com I would love feedback or suggestions for Nigerian forums or communities that could help represent Africa better on the map.
