Hey, my guy try your very best to discourage your friend from that action; for two reasons:
1. His wife.
2. His Son.
As you said, it seems to be out of frustration that this your friend is considering doing that, but anyone that knows how this country works will tell you that you can't get a better "anything" without having "it" in the hand. He should rather struggle and look for a better job while still holding on to this one, or else im name na "sorry O!".

I need to confirm, was anyone out there turned away when he/she went for interview for experienced hire (engineers) on the basis of a HND or 3rd Class, despite having also done PGD in an engineering discipline and possible also a masters? This happened to me yesterday.
