Watersam40:Good question, and well done for asking before paying anything. Universities don't create a course because someone requests it. Each university has a fixed list of programs, published on its official website (usually ending in .edu.cn). Human Anatomy master's programs do exist, mostly at medical universities, but many are taught in Chinese, not English. The red flag is that the person couldn't explain the course. That's a sign they may just be forwarding flyers to collect "processing fees". What to do: 1. Ask for the university's name, then find the program on the school's official site yourself. 2. For "fully funded", check the scholarship on the official CSC website or the university's scholarship page. 3. Never pay "processing" or "admission" fees to a person. Real application fees go to the university. Drop the university name here and I'll help you check it. |
Newsmills:Thank you, bro, I appreciate that. 🙏 And don't worry, I'm focused on school and helping people get into Chinese universities the right way, nothing else. Since you asked for more light, here's something many people don't know 👇 How to check that a Chinese university or offer is real: 1. Find the school on its official website (usually ends in .edu.cn). 2. Check that it's allowed to admit international students. Most legit schools have an "International Students" or "留学生" section on their site. 3. Scholarship? Check that the program exists on the official CSC website or the university's own scholarship page. 4. Your admission letter should come from the school, followed by a JW201/JW202 form, which you need for the student visa. 5. Never pay tuition into a personal account. Pay the university directly. If you've received an offer and you're not sure it's real, drop the school name here and I'll tell you what to check. 🇳🇬🇨🇳 |
BigYash:lol you just have to come and find that out by yourself bro. 😂 |
Newsmills:You're right to be careful, bro. Too many people have been scammed by fake "agents", so I don't blame anyone for asking questions. That's why everything I share here is free. You don't need to pay me anything to ask questions. I'm just a Nigerian student here sharing what I know. Ask me anything, and verify it yourself. That's the right way to do it. 🇳🇬 |
portplus:@portplus. Let me break it down honestly. 1. School fees (per year, approximate) • Diplomas taught in English: roughly ¥8,000–¥15,000 • Bachelor's taught in English: roughly ¥15,000 - ¥40,000 • Master's: roughly ¥20,000–¥45,000 • Medicine (MBBS) and top universities cost more. • Fees differ a lot by school and city, so always check the exact program. 2. Accommodation • School dormitory: roughly ¥5,000–¥12,000 a year, depending on the room and the school. • Renting outside is possible but usually costs more at the start (deposit, agent fees). 3. Monthly living costs • In cities like Shenyang (where I live), you can live on about ¥1,500–¥2,000 a month for food, transport and phone if you're not careless. • Big cities like Beijing and Shanghai cost more. • A full scholarship can cover tuition and housing and give you a monthly allowance, which changes everything. 4. Jobs after studies (honest answer) • It's possible, but not automatic. China usually requires work experience for a work visa, though there are exceptions. For example, graduates with a master's degree from a Chinese university can sometimes work directly after graduating. • The best chances are with companies that trade with Africa, logistics, import/export, and business roles where English and your African network are valuable. • Students can't work freely during their studies, so don't come planning to fund yourself with a part-time job. • Many people use a Chinese degree as a stepping stone: back home, or to another country. My advice: decide what you want after the degree before you pick a school. It changes which program and city you should choose. If you share your current qualification and budget, I can point you to the right options. My contacts are on my profile. 🇳🇬🇨🇳 |
Hello Nairalanders, I'm a Nigerian student currently studying in Shenyang, China. Many people ask me if studying in China is real, how much it costs, and whether Africans are welcome. So I'm opening this thread to answer honestly. Quick facts from my experience: • Many degree programs are taught fully in English. You don't need to speak Chinese to start. • There are scholarships: Chinese Government (CSC), provincial and university ones. Some cover tuition, housing and a monthly allowance. • Daily life is easy. Payments, transport and food delivery all run on your phone. • Most applications fail because of late submission, missing documents or a weak study plan, not because people aren't smart. Documents you'll usually need: passport, certificates and transcripts, medical form, police clearance, study plan, and sometimes recommendation letters. Ask me anything below: schools, costs, scholarships, visa, accommodation, life as a foreigner. I'll answer as best I can. 🇳🇬➡️🇨🇳 |
