WHO SHALL DELIVER ME FROM THE BODY OF THIS DEATH?

Never be surprised that this particular utterance was made by the great Apostle Paul in Romans 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

The subject of sin varies from one person to the other, from one family to another family and from one generation to generation.

Sin entered into us through Adam after the fall of man. Consequently, these sins are embedded inside human beings due to genes from family background or mistakes or sins commited by the parents.

Psalm 51:5 Psalms 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

Shall we then continue in sin when it seems that there is no way out?

No!

Sin itself is destructive. Sin is transgressing against the law of God. Sin brings death. Sin brings sickness and infirmity to the body of man. Sin causes war, hatred, murder fighting.
The wages of sin is death
Sin is a killer.
Every sinner is fighting God.
God is angry with the sinners every day.

So you cannot continue in sin.

WHO SHALL DELIVER ME FROM THE BODY OF THIS DEATH?

Romans 8:2-3 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

You have a responsibility to cooperate with God.

You need to understand that man is tripartite being. Your body which is the flesh, your soul, the seat of intellect and your spirit, which you communicate with God.

At the new birth, your flesh, which consists of the eyes, nose, mouth, legs, hands, bones, blood and head are not born again.
Also your soul which consists of the will, emotion and intellect are not born again.

It is only your spirit that is born again.

Never forget this and don't miss it.

Your soul, the seat of intellect, will and emotion is being worked upon. You must constantly renew your mind or your soul to conform to the will of God.

"Who shall deliver me from the body of this death? "Romans 7:24b
The flesh consists of the body: eyes, blood, bones, head, legs, hand and also the SOUL: the seat of intellect, mind, will and emotion.
Don't miss it. Both soul and spirit are used interchangeably in the scripture but they are not the same. Your body is the body of death, the body is not born again, it will die here on earth. Your soul is being worked on because it is your seat of intellect, the soul is undergoing renewal but not born again, the soul knows you are now under the control of the spirit of Christ, so, Romans 12:2" And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

What consists of the spirit? The conscience, fellowship and intuition. Conscience (to know right from wrong), fellowship (created to commune with God) and intuition (sense of knowing the knowledge of God).
Your spirit is made to connect or commune with God.

Your body and your soul are not born again so they will be fighting to do the things that are against God, while the spirit is willing to do the things of God.
What is the way out?
Romans 8: 1-3 gave an answer. Romans 8:1-3 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

It is also corroborated in John 1:12 John 1:12-13 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
So, when you accept Christ, you have been given power to become the son of God.

It does not end there.

You still have the body of death, the flesh(body and soul) to contend with everyday with your own spirit, which is now born again.

Paul advised in Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind(soul), that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

When you don't submit yourself to God every single day, the flesh will take over your life and make you to do things that are against God.
Jesus said, watch and pray, so that we don't fall into temptation of the flesh making us to commit sin.

Then, your blood must be involved.

Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

The voice of the flesh is the blood.
When God breathed on man, the breath is trapped in the blood.
Therefore, the blood is the link between the physical and the spiritual.
The blood is the vehicle that carries the spirit.
When there is no blood in the body, the person is considered to be dead.
Likewise, when the spirit departs from the physical body, the person is dead.

The blood needs to be worked on.

Inside the blood is GENE.

What is GENE?

According to Google, genes are the basic and functional units of hereditary, consisting of specific DNA that contains instructions for making proteins which dictate traits like, eye, colour, height and cellular functions.
They are passed from parents to offspring located on chromosomes within the cell wall.

If that is the case, then it means that you carry the blood of your parents or your ancestors which will directly or indirectly affect your habit or character.

No wonder the Bible says
Hebrews 12:4
Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

Hebrews 9:22
And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

You can see the reason why blood must be involved.

For you to be delivered totally from the dominion of sins, you have work to do.

What do you do?

You need to go for serious deliverance prayer of your own blood or your foundation and use the blood of Jesus Christ to fight so that all the blood of your parents you carry will be purge out of your body and replace with the blood of redemption.

You need to feed your inner man with the word of God.

You need to ask for POWER to dominate sin, the dominion power to overcome sin in all its ramifications, when the temptation to sin comes, you need power to counter it and stop it.

You need to hide some scriptures in your innerman so that you will not sin against God.

You need to seek for the baptism of the holy ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

You need to submit your body as a living sacrifice for the work of God.

You need to fellowship with the brethren.

You need to watch and pray.

You need to be disatisfied with your present spiritual level and seek to grow to the extent that you begin to hear the voice of God clearly

These are the ways to be totally delivered from this body of death.

Who can know the mind of God?
