In unijos dat the lecturers are not on strike but they are threatening 2 go on strike claming dat they have not been paid their allowance but right now a committee as been set up 2 address d issue in 3 day dat was what i was told.

academic activities in all federal universities by the academic
staff, the pro-chancellor and chairman of council on behalf of
the governing council, has directed as follows:
1. Monday 2nd December, 2013
• All academic staff of the University of Jos shall return to their
various Department/Units/Directorates and commence work.
• Daily compliance register shall be kept by all Heads of
Department for all the academic staff who are at work.
2. Tuesday 3rd December, 2013
• Every Head of Department shall publish lecture time-table for
all academic programmes.
3. 21st Dec-3rd Jan. Christmas break.
4. 6th Jan. Resumption from Christmas break.
5. 20th-26th Jan for revision week, 27th Jan for
commencement of 2nd semester exams.
6. New students to resume 10th march
7. Returning student's registration is march
17th...............This shud mean the suplementary list may not be posted this year till next year buh i pray for its release this week.

Godian45: My fellow aspirant I want to share with u wat I sew yesterday while counting d number of admitted medicine candidates,while counting 90 were offered admission while getting to d 2nd to d last page I sew some some candidate dat were admitted into zoology,botany,industrial chem so I said to my self let me check if dis candidates applied dis same courses dat were given to dem, I was shock wen I saw a candidate admitted with post ume 0% jamb score 180 into industrial chem 37102895HG check and see 4 ur selfs.i was like nna na wa o wen there are candidate with 40% and above (including my self)are they cursed or what not to gain admission?

my guy hav 4goten dis is 9ja? Long leg work even greater dan magic, at d end u shal even c people dat did nt write d post ume or jamb offerd admision

Valedictory Session for the Late Prof U.A. Ibanga
A Valedictory Senate meeting was held on Tuesday, 3rd December, 2013 in honour of the Late Professor Ufot Akpan Ibanga @ the Senate Chambers of the University of Jos, Bauchi Road Campus.
The meeting which was chaired by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Hayward Mafuyai, was attended by family of the deceased including his wife and children. A citation on the Late Professor Ibanga was read by the Dean of Social Sciences, Professor Ezekiel Best while tributes were presented by Professors Gray Goziem Ejikeme, Warisu Alli and Danny Mcain.
The Late Professor Ibanga died on 8th July, 2013 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor accident on his way from Jos to Abuja on an official assignment. Before his death, he was the Head of Department, Sociology. He had served the University of Jos for almost thirty years in positions such as Governing Council Member, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences and Dean, Post-Graduate School as well as Head of Department of Sociology on four different occasions. He had to his credit many publications including books, journal articles, technical reports and monographs in addition to academic papers presented at conferences, seminars and workshops. He was aged 68 years. May d soul of d dead rest in peace
