Most of these mixtures are prepared by illiterate individuals in unhygienic environments, often beside gutters or open markets. Instead of using safe, consumable alcohol, many rely on industrial alcohol and harmful chemicals to “boost potency.” These unhygienic and unscientific methods expose consumers to serious health risks.

Medical experts have linked the frequent consumption of agbo to a rising incidence of kidney failure, liver damage, stomach ulcers, and hypertension. Sadly, many victims end up spending huge sums on dialysis and medical treatments that could have been avoided.

It is time for the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) to clamp down on unregistered herbal sellers and enforce strict regulations on the sale of traditional mixtures. Alongside this, massive public sensitization should be carried out to educate people about the dangers of unregulated herbal consumption.

If these steps are taken, not only will countless lives be saved, but the money currently wasted on treating preventable kidney and liver diseases can be channeled into more productive and meaningful causes for a healthier future.

It’s good to be happy as you said but don’t be shocked if you stumble and she leaves (that’s if the relationship was “serious”) cos you’ve always paid her and once the buyer is no more available, the seller looks for another buyer.

What are the weird food combinations that you are comfortable with?

I just finished eating one of my best food combinations now , I so much love eating white rice with boiled yam and stew on top . Mehn! The feelings for me while masticating the rice and yam in my mouth is always heavenly , surprisingly, it's a weird food combination for most people which makes me surprised.


Other combinations that I fancy are, noodles and ugu leaves, garri and beans (I learnt this in school) together with bread.
